Yes bro you make the right decision to install the temp controller, the other safety device is a back up power supply ( UPS) to provide at least few hours of minimum flow and areation (oxygen) to your tank in case of a power trip. I just had an experience last week when i was out during day time, came back and found tank peach dark. I check my ELCB and it was tripped. Further investigation found the culprit was my refugium light got short circuit. Thankfully my UPS was on action powering my tunze pump and airpump.... from the timer reading, i estimated the power black out for around 3 hours or so ! In this case, the tank may still not crash because 3 hours is still bearable for the tank mates... but just imagine 6 hours or even overnight when you are not around !!! Too much risk at stake for me... so am not taking any chance at all Btw, thanks and look forward to receiviing your zoas !

Wow Bro, Didnt know you have such good collection ! Should have trade frags with you Nice collection !

Bro, here i am reading through your tank thread When i come to know your tank crash incident page, decided to stop for a while and share a little more protection mechanism to minimize possiblity of tank crash - due to power failure ( eg. cause by short circuit etc...). Have you installed a backup power supply ( some call it UPS ) for your reef system ? if not i urge that you consider one of those to protect your precious gems

Dear all, thanks for the overhelming response All frags reserved pending collection. Will update if there are backers. Thread close

Hi Bro, yes both are of the SPS acropora species. Your longnose filefish are a beauty but unfortunately has been known to nip at sps polyps. I am not sure how long you have this lovely fish, if you have kept them long and have already got used to feeding dried food, may be worth a try. But if it's a newly bought one, then I am not recommending that you take the risk Cheers !

Bro I actually agree that our are of a different species, looking from the body structure, yours looks more like the colony in AM ( but theirs is light green in colour ). But if yours is indeed yellow in colour, than i think you have a unique piece Mind if i come over for a visit to admire ? May be Bro Thomas would be keen to come along as well ... heee

Thanks Bro Thairun, i see that you have very good collection too . Agree with your comment that the fun thing is about seeing new staff emerge from time to time... and it's a hobby i think where one could experiment with different methods and see for themselve what system works and what doesnt ( given individual circumstances and constrains )... and most importantly make great friends

Thanks for all the kind and encouraging words Bros... hope to have the priviledge to learn from you all some time
