  4. Yeh mann, how I wish i could keep the avatar alive in my tank just like the other sps LOL I do remember you told me about the incident and really glad you still manage to save the purple beauty. The one i got from you still doing well though didnt grow much, but the yellow polyp is simple awesome ! Thanks for sharing with me
  5. Upzz for your sps sales bro For those who are collecting rare and nice sps, do consider bro Thairun's purple bonsai. It's indeed a very nice piece to have.
  6. clap clap clap ! Hmm didnt know so many Liverpool fans
  7. Bro, so far i have no personal experinece using LED lightings. But i have seen one reefer has resonable results with sps growth, but some sps seems to bleach, probable due to the high light intensity from LED... so you have to be careful when introducing sps, try to place in lower light area first and acclimatise it before moving to higher light levels.
  8. Yup bro, the pearlberry is quite easy piece, moderate to lower lighting will do (high light may cause it to bleach). Ensure that it receive moderate flow is also important. Hope this info helps Size is around 2 inches with at least 2 braches. Cheers !
  9. Thanks Nigel, yep the pink stylo is one of my favourite, but needs to have intense lighting to keep the hot pink going, realise that i shift it lower and the colour shifted to purpish pink When you free ? let's meet up for kopi leh
  10. Yup bro, the Chilipepper is one of the best monti in the reefing collection for two reason : not only very nice colouration but also a hardy and fast grower...a good choice for those wanna try out sps Hope the info helps !
  11. Haa...no worry bro, I only frag out those that has grown excessive. That's why only limited few frags available for each specimen. Would be a pleasure to have you over for coffee and have a chat

  13. Good argument Marc. I have exactly the same experience when i dose voka for a span of 2 months, and gotten the same ill effects of unsightly green cyano, sps stn and out break of ich. I am pretty sure of the above comes upon only cause by vodka, as i have not done anything else extra during the 2 months of vodka dosing. After i decided to stop Vodka, it took me another 2 months to restor back to previous healthy condition. Just like what Marc says, the vodka serve as a fuel for both good and bad bacteria. So i kind of come to a conclusion that rather than to boost the good bacteria using Vodka which results in growing of bad bacteria as well, why not just stick to a regular regime of dosing good bacteria via proven bac products. IMO, to reduce PO4 and NO3, using Vodka as the only solution will results in more problems, especially for sps.
  14. Yup agree with Maron_clown comment on lightings...T5 is good enough for sps. But just that it lasks the shimmering pencil like effect Steven, you should pay a visit to Maron_clown's sps tank, one of the nicest sps tank in town !
  15. Vincent, so you are gonna build this beautiful tank inside the owner's place ?
  16. +1 I have dealt with James once on a Vortech, no issue at all. Bro Singleisure, try the method as suggested by bros here and hope that the issue can be solved amicably. Let's be nice to one another and most importantly enjoy this reefing hobby and make friends All the best.
  17. FuEl, your observation on beckett hits right on the nail. It's amazing that you manage to power up the skimmer with just a 50W pump, that's really cool. For those who are starting out and are looking for a low cost / low power skimmer, FuEl's skimmer is worth considering.
  18. Admire your kindness to the fish in trying to find a good hm for them. Btw, nice scaping you have
