There was a thread on our sg tap water before, there are phosphates and heavy metals present, apart from chlorine. In which we all try to remove as much as possible in a reef tank. Phosphates trigger algae growth. And chlorine is pretty much poisonous to anything in the water. Yes tap water is free, but at the expense of your livestock's well being. Kudos!

Irwana this morning Not too sure what the orange tang is? Loads of yellow tangs of all sizes! Saw a fairy wrasse if i'm not mistaken. A frog fish, some lemon peel angels... And still have one or 2 baby blue tangs.

Can try bm nac 3.5 or nac qq. Both have pretty good reviews and below 100 for new set. If space constraint can try bm e3. Deep pocket can look at remora nano or tunze doc 9002, both have quite good reviews, but remora nano has a mixed review for a microbubble issue.

The LEDs there not really suitable for good coral growth imo, went there before they mostly only have 1w LEDs in their setups. but good if you're looking for a refuge light.

Sassy, if you turn the return tube, it will either increase or decrease the water level inside the skimmer On a side note, i just got a bm qq myself, got a heckload of microbubbles currently, is there anyone experiencing the same problem as i am? or should i just let it run in hmmm...

As above, I acquired from another reefer (180sgd), a couple of months back. Realised it's abit too overkill for my setup this deciding to let go. Has been in use for a year according to previous owner. Haven't used it but to test whether it's working Everything works except some of the cooling fans are spoilt. I have checked and they can be replaced cheaply at SLT. Looking at 180 but open to negotiations. Cheers

Hi guys, just wanted to know what are some ways you guys control your Dkh? I realise even a value of 1 makes a huge difference in keeping sps. Constant water changes are good but due to the difference in the new water and the current water that is in the tank will also cause fluctuations. Anybody care to share how they control their Dkh?

Hello all, theres a 12gal nano cube i would like to revive. But there seems to be etches all over the front panel. Tried vinegar and all sorts of methods to remove the etching, but nothing seems to be working, would like to know if theres anywhere i can send it to , to get this problem fixed or anything?

Hello guys, diying stuff is tough work, sourcing materials is not easy either, just wondering, where has a good place that sells pvc fittings ? my hardware shop dosent have the stuff i need at times.

pump return is 1400l/h so i guess i need to tone it down a little.

FInished the build on the overflow pipe, however after testing, the flowrate is really minimal, im using 15mm pipes. Plus is there anywhere that sells the valve for a one way airflow?

Just went to aqua marin, they have quite alot of good looking healthy tangs today, pbt etc. and some angels in good shape. Saw 2 lion fish , one med one small. mm saw a frogfish there too. No corals.

Just built my overflow unit, shall post some pictures this weekend once im out of camp.
