  2. hi all, would like to ask if anyone knows any lfs in taiwan taipei as im here for an exercise and what can i bring in my handcarry legally without any issues?
  3. I'm using the qq as well, the bubbles will tone down once the skimmer is broken in. Excellent skimmer though, dark brown kopi o skimmate, no regrets spending the 80 or so dollars haha!
  4. I don't think feeding freshwater is a good option, you should visit www.tonmo.com for more info on cephlapods
  5. Everybody makes mistakes. your tank looks good.
  6. +1 to that, a huge pool of knowledge too!
  7. It's okay! I've been wanting to try bio fuel, does anyone use that?
  8. Damn, that's a nice collection of sps, the bonsai bn looks so freaking sexy.
  9. I think the only think not avail is the kessil and ghl haha
  10. Haha, just to clarify, using nutrient absorbing media falls under chemical filtration, but since the topic has been brought up, I use pura complete, so far the results are satisfactory, I am able to keep po4 and no3 at a minimal I.e below 5 ppm. I believe alot of the reefers use chemical filtration media as well, but in my case, chemical filtration is used as a back up, should there be a spike in nutrient level that the bacteria is not able to handle, the pura complete will. So far so good! Is there actually a need for chemical filtration is a debatable question.
  11. Hi all, as we all know biofiltration is a very big part of our reeding hobby, I would like to know who uses what and are the results that you have gotten satisfactory? (Excluding live rock) I personally use Bioclean which is a combination of bio digest and bioptim. So far the results for the past year are alright, and I manage to keep no3 below 10 ppm.
  12. Also, what is the volume of your tank? The model that you're using is rated for 300 gallons. If your skimmer's volume is rated too much higher than your tank's volume, the skimmer might also not work properly. Cheers !
  13. If its a fowlr, IMHO, 20 ppm is not too high, of course it would be better if it could lower down, but it looks like your bio load is high, so 20 ppm is reasonable. I don't see anything wrong with what you have described. If you fear your skimmer is not working, I think a picture would help a lot
  14. There comes a point when your skimmer will stop skimming when the nutrients are removed from the water. Maybe you can share your feeding schedule and bipolar etc?
  15. Isn't zeolite another form of bacteria housing? If so I don't see an issue? One is a fuel source whilst the other provides the environment?
  16. As above, looking for metallic lumi gsp frag of about fist size. Pm / Whatsapp 90707802 your price and location thanks!
  17. How is the flow in the tank? From my experience, they took pellets very readily. I used reef pearls to entice it to eat. Keep in mind that pellets that are too big might deter it from eating.
