Hmm..why don't you take away the cannister and use your refugium as a replacement?
You can use cotton wool as mechanical filter while using Live rocks as bio-filter.
I think in the long run, cannister will act as a nitrate factory.
Managed to carry out my operation "kalkflush" last night.
Decide to take the risk and soak my LR with some corals in kalk solution but the pesky mantis still refuse to come out!! Haiz.
Now my only worry is that the corals on the LR will not perish!
Will post again if my corals survive the ordeal.
Thanks AT! I will be taking the LR out.
I am thinking of using the clear part of the kalk solution and squirt the solution into the hole it is hiding.
Will this method kill other life forms on the LR?
Thanks!!
I am keeping some LPS. I'll relocate some of my LPS to places where the current is not so strong.
I am using a Aquaclear 802 for my 3 ft. Sometimes can see vortex on the surface of the water.
I have been noticing that my corals are swaying quite strongly in my tank due to a stong powerhead.
Will this cause my corals to go bald in the long run?
