Just wondering, will a growing and coloring up colony RTN/STN without any reason at all? I got this colony which seems to grow and color up. But it suddenly RTN without any apparent reason... Any SPS gurus care to share?

Hmmm..very hard to keep within your $400 budget for SPS tank...the most you can have 8 colonies... Not enough to fill a 3ft tank lar.... IMO, better to have 2 x actinics 39watts to balance out the yellowish color of your 6500k bulb..

Since you are keeping lps only, you can supplement with t5 blue actinics to balance out the color. Alternatively, you can change your bulb to 14k. This will give you a blue-ish look.
