Fuel, ever if he dosen't have a hole as you mentioned he still wouldn't drian his tank... sounds more like his water input is on the bottom of the tank without a safty valve(check valve) I know of one tank maker that has this crazy design.

Sherman, SimLim tower, bottom floor has a shop that sells tons of PS that are better than a bulky computer PS. also you can adjust the current easily. I bought a couple for my DIY top-up boxes, cost about S$6.00, or better yet like the other reefer said use a 12vdc PS from a HP.

The one thing you ever want to do is break them, you'll have a wild fire of bubbles. Just test your water and try to remove them without breaking them and you'll be just fine.

I have to agree with RockyBoy, I've been running a KR and my rocks are totally incrusted with coralline growth... but I'm also running 2 250mh. Kalkwasser is known to promote coralline growth.

It sound like your fish has a bad case of bladder infection, you may be over feeding your tank... the best thing to do before you lose another fish is to... 1) 30% water change, and don't feed you fish for 24 hours. 2) An old remedy is after 24hour try feeding "him" frozen peas, remove the skin and thaw. 3) Followed be another 30% water change. Keep your figures crossed and you should be out of the woods.
