  1. haha, unlucky for u, my chiller until now havnt even kick in! put there like for fun, haha
  2. dun believe it unless it is cryopreserved or fresh off culture
  3. i do not recommend that setting. like victor007 said, hydrogen sulphide might be produced. seems like the flow rate can be near 0 if very fine media is used. dead zones will be created especially at the base of the container. i do propose u to attach a pump with a T connector to the pail. the bottom of the container you can attach a flow restrictor; i do like to use IV sets, those used in hospitals. u want u can get from me at a very cheap price; ur transportation cost, anyway, this device is good as i can set it to drop per time. the purpose of the T connector is to allow water to be channeled into the container and any overflow would be channeled out by the other outlet of the connector. u do not need a dedicated pump, just use wadever pump u r alreadi using. personally i m using the tofu packet with the iv drip as the tofu packet provides a funnel bottom, helping to minimise the creation of dead zones. just my 2 cents worth.
  4. wow, so cheap! my tank smaller than u but costed me much more! needa learn from u, haha

  11. Managed to set up a 12L tank, 30cm in length i guess. Anyhow, seeded it with bacteria for 3 days. had heater, chiller skimmer and filter. dumped in an anchor coral, blue damsel, camel shrimp and crocea clam i tink. surviving for a week for now, even after being transported for more than 4 hours. cos need to set up a temp tank for display somewhere. pics: anchor coral close up clam camel shrimp with blue damsel shrimp molting; it molted the next day! day 1 of putting in the ls anyone know wad more can i put inside? seems like not a lot of space left to me. also, anyone with experience with pico tanks? i m tinking of having a 6L tank. all feedbacks, comments and recommendations r welcome! thx

  13. nope, haha. the operating pressure which I used was approx 125 psi. The chambers which I used are actually only 5cm3? I dont think you need powerful pumps to achieve that level of pressure in such a small volume. Anyway, I used industrial vacuum pumps.
  14. green wrasse seems not to be highly reef friendly from my memory?
  15. wow, serious? haha. i just placed one in my tank?
