Based on personal experience, hammer, torch and frogspawn can do well under moderate to strong flow but not under direct blast.. I have hammer and frogspawn within 1 feet of my wave maker before but they are of lower position so they enjoy the under drift current caused by the wave maker.

Bro, I was in the exact situation more than 1 year ago. Don't give up. But if you want to resolve your red slime issue, you still need to find the root causes. I did a combination of WC, remove deep sea bed from display tank, install a better skimmer and start growing cheato. And I have no red slime problem ever since. So jia you!

I heard that torch although in the same family will sting hammer and frogspawn. Not sure if true. I never try. But I have frogspawn and hammer together, no issue.

Sand bed is easy - Acan, plate and scoly all comes with great colors. Rock pieces - monti, duncan, or even zoas.
