  1. Hi bros, Currently my 4ft aquarium is largely rock-only. I am thinking of converting it into a soft coral aquarium so want to find out more. 1) The current temperature is around 31.8C - is really warm. I am planning to put up fans to cool the water down to 28C - if possible. Is this temperature good for most soft corals such as zoas, mushrooms, leather? Is it good for anemone too? 2) What is the lighting requirement? I dont think I want to go for MH since the heat is going to cook the water. Can I go for T5, or T8? How many tubes are good enough? My tank is 2ft high. I do have a troublesome situation, my tank is 1.5ft wide so after installing fans on the side of the tank - I am running into insufficient width to mount a 6-tube light fixture - unless any bro can advise me how to tackle this. 3) I heard that bubble tip anenome may be able to do well without MH, in replacement of some other light? Would like to know what light is good for these anemones. Thank you all for reading this.
  2. Any experts to advise what type of corals are good for this lighting?
  3. I guess you will need some luck. Some of these angelfish really behave differently...some nip while some don't...
  4. Thanks, it is a 4ft lightset. According to my friend, it was purchased from AquaMarine. Water parameter should be: NO2 is zero, NO3 is around 20ppm. So is this good enough for LPS? Mushrooms? Zoos? Leather? Star Polyps? Thank you so much!
  5. Hi brothers, Just got a 2nd-hand lightset of HO T5 2x10,000K from a friend May I know what corals are suitable for this lighting? Thank you so much!
  6. Hi brothers, Just curious. When you buy a fish from the LFS, do you prefer to catch your own fish or would you get the store owner to catch it for you? I have a friend who always insist of not dirtying his hands, so he will always get the store owner/helper to catch the fish for him. But I will always prefer to do it myself unless it is a tank full of expensive fishes, then I may not want to risk scaring or hurting them. What about you?
  7. Hi brothers, Just curious if anyone has actually seen or bought a Orangemarked Goby? I am sourcing for one but I am not sure if it is a common species sold in LFS. Oh, please do not confuse the Orangemarked Goby with the Diamond Watchman Goby, the later can grow up to 6 inches - abit too big for my taste, haha, so decided to lookup for Orangemarked Goby instead Orangemarked Goby Diamond Watchman Goby
