  1. Hi bros, Have a question here... in general is there any particular LFS that brings in exotic softie more frequently? It is pretty difficult to find them such as fuji leather, long-polyp leather, etc etc. Not referring to zoas and yuma here. Thanks.
  2. I believe the fishes of similiar colors and shape have more agression against each other because in the wild they have to protect their territories to ensure that they have enough food supply. There are a few ways to reduce the aggression such as doing some rescape to confuse the existing inhabitants so that they have no more familiar territory to defend. Yet my experience is that angels are generally more aggressive than butterflies.
  3. Very touching. Is happy to know that we still have people who care for the ocean
  4. Hi Marco, Warm welcome to SG Reef Club. You can refer to the following thread on the local fish store in Singapore. Personally I may recommend Coral Farm because of the size of the farm, you have alot to see http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/topic/85282-updated-lfs-directory-listing/
  5. Honestly my chaeto refugium is slow. I don't really observe steady decline in NO3. Look like I will have to install a FR very soon.

  10. I usually catch it and put in a hospital tank...or rather a going-to-die tank and let it die naturally...too cruel for me to kill it
  11. Thanks. Have removed the culprit rock so now manually killing those 1 - 2 Aiptasia on the infested rocks. Think better get the shrimps quickly
  12. Hey bros, I have a sudden thought that run through my mind when I am looking at my aquarium today. Maybe some bros can shed some thoughts and views on this. 1) My aquarium is running an overflow to the sump tank (I belive most people are). And the waterfall sound can be quite crazy and what I did long before was to push 2 layers of black filtration sponges into the overflow filter to reduce the waterfall impact. It works but I have to pull out those sponges for rinsing on and off. Today, I suddenly thinking how about replacing the sponges with many many bio balls instead and kinda like convert it to a wet-dry filter. Not sure if this thought is feasible... 2) My previous tank is using an IOS where there I can afford a dry-wet section for bio balls. Ever since I purchase the new tank which comes with the sump, there isn't a 'dry' section anymore in the sump. Instead of wasting the bio balls, I put them into the sump - part of the 'wet' section - not sure whether this is a good idea (anyway, been done 1 year ago). So the question is should I reuse the bio balls in the wet section, or are ceramic rings a better media for the wet section? Thanks in advance!
