I have started using this about 1 month ago. Used this to replace bio balls and apparently there was a slight spike of ammonia in the next week because of the removal of bacteria from the balls. But another week passed and the ammonia went undetectable again.

As advertised, it is. I did saw some marine aquarium with black substrate when I googled.

The smell may be due to die-off in the tank and bro kkk121 is right, you need to turn on the skimmer. From my last experience, it takes about a week for the water to clear after the bacteria bloom.

Definitely bristleworm. Good scavenger to clean up uneaten food but I usually remove those big ones...

Small turbo snail, brittlestar, hermit crabs. Shrimps are good scavenger too.

I also encountered a zoa nudibranch attack recently and have moved all my zoas to another hospital tank for coralrx dip. I have an adorned wrasse and melanurus wrasse as biological control in the main tank and my intent is to starve these pets to death. Can anyone advise how long does it take for them to die? Also I heard that these nudibranch does not feed on palys. Is that true? If yes, I can keep some palys then

actually good idea to have a peer to double confirm...sometimes I also doubt I am reading the test result correctly...lol probably add 1 more criteria - preferably someone who is using a different brand of test kit as you are...

Hi brothers, I have been pondering for a long time whether to change my skimmer. I have a limited space/height of my cabinet which can only accommodate a skimmer with height not taller than 48 cm - this is very challenging. Any recommendation? My tank is 90 gallons / 4ft

I am not sure if this can be subjective because I read on reefkeeping before where there was a guy who keeps an anemone tank, full of RBTA and they are obviously doing well and reproducing. And the photos show that the RBTA all have long tentacles... very odd.
