  1. Hi brothers, I am setting up a pico 6 gallon aquarium in my office. Since it is a workplace, I try to avoid having too many pieces of equipment... My plan is to keep zoas and mushrooms, and probably not more than small 3 fishes, and some crew cleaners. What would be a good way for maintain optimal parameters beside doing weekly water change? Should I rely on dosing bacteria? or should I have a hang-on filter with some bio-media?
  2. Hi brothers, Anyone knows which LFS carries Salifert test kits? I am looking for nitrite, kH, pH and strontium test kits. Thank you.
  3. I dont have much success with these yellow polyps - for some reasons they withered depsite placement under good lights. After which I did some research, some sites suggest that although they can receive food through photosynthesis, apparently they need more food supplements as compared to zoas and mushrooms.
  4. BTA stands for Bubble Tip Anemone, often comes in green and red - http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=497+499+869&pcatid=869
  5. Not all clown will accept the hammer as a host. If both of them accept it then they may be some fight but is good to let them develop into a pair. The female queen have to be identified.
  6. That's bad. I will ask my mum to create a forum account. Lol. Anyway really lots of experienced reefer here. I am also a big fan of clownfish - which is why my 'Clownfish Forever' name. If you are new to marine go for easier anemone such as bubble tip rather than carpet anemone. And of course read up what clownfish uses bubble tip as host eg. Maroon clown

  10. Think their requirement are similar - moderate water flow and bright - to moderate lighting.
  11. Long tentacle plate coral. Elegance coral. Hammer, frogspawn coral. No guarantee though.

  13. Bought this from Ah Beng about 3 weeks ago. Really didnt expect it to open SO big (not so 'elegant' liao). It is about a hand size...or even bigger. Selling at $30. Collection at Sengkang after 7pm on weekdays or weekend. Buyer may need to bring container.

  15. 1st, When the light is off at night, i.e when the polyps are not opened. see if you can spot any nudibranch crawling on them using torch light. if see those, remove them. It may be good if you can add a natural predator such as yellow wrasses to consume these pets. 2nd, is the zoas under direct current? if yes, probably change a location. 3rd, stretched - means the polyps seems to pull themselves upwards in order to get more light.
  16. Is the place really crowded? since just opened...friends and I thinking of going but worry about the crowd.. if too crowded, is fishes watch us, not we watch fishes...lol from bro xeneryx's photo, look like not so many people...
