Looks like a plate coral .. But it's got bumps and eyes... It has sweeping tentacles that comes out only in the dark .. Very long and bad..!! Melted a couple of my shroom already ..!!

Looking for a leather coral with green polyp . Anyone has info where I can get one.. See lots if leather at Pasiris, coral farm, but not sure if they are green ..

How's the blue tang mwtan79 ? My powder black tang has recovered from the ich... Got the ich on the 2nd day after I bought him.. Never quarantine . It had a few white spot on the body and a badly thorn fin with a big white ich on it. It's about 5 days now and the ich are gone. Up to date I have 3 fish recovered from ich. A maroon clown , a yellow tang and this powder black tang. Never used medication or hypo. Just let it be , minimum stress and feed well. But I did mix the mysis with ginger powder. Don't know if it plays a part in the recovery.

If it has tentacles then it could be a cucumber ..

Hmmmm .... It could be a hybrid achilles. Orange tail and no white cheeks .. But it's not as black as in the picture ... Maybe just a normal power black , but how much would a hybrid Achilles cost and how much will a powder black or brown cost ? Not quite sure about fish and coral pricing now ..

What you can do when your fish get ich is , leave it alone , do not induce more stress on it , trying to catch it will worsen its condition. If the fish is still eating and swimming around , means it's still healthy and it just might survive the plague. If it's not eating and keeping to itself in a corner then the worse is about to come. Or your could just float a rubber duckie in your tank and hope for the best..

I think u should let the skimmer run .. That's how u remove all the nitrate and phosphate from the water ..

I'm confused ... Lots of pictures of look a like fish .. Can't take a picture of my own fish but here's a pic of almost the same ... Could be a Powder brown Powder black Or even a hybrid of an Achilles .. So after some month starting the tank ... I decided to added few more fish , Had a yellow tang all the while and never had to feed him. He's busy cleaning up the hair algae , always fat and bloated. Just added a couple more tangs , a blue and a powder brown .( yea they fight but not that bad) All are eating well on the algae in the tank but I think the algae are not growing well anymore , so gonna need fish food ,they take pallets . So please recommend me some good pallet food and where to get them.. Thanks

Wow... This thread is going somewhere else... Let's get back to the point.. Problem: Balls are shaken and they eject dirt into main tank making it cloudy ... Solution : remove balls replace with rocks , don't shake the rocks but siphon the dirt out of the tank .. = clean , crystal clear main tank. Or if you still wanna use them , before u shake your balls put some filter floss in the next compartment trapping the dirt so they don't go into the main tank..

Remove the bio ball .. : )

Tang are aggressive too I know .. But I thought they only go for same species or same shape ... But my yellow been terrorizing of all fish ...!! A blue damsel !!! Think this tank feng shui position not good .. Everything's going wrong..!!

Overflow drain pipe leak.... Stop the return pump... Drain the overflow compartment only , repair the overflow leak (best to remove the pipes and redo the silicone ) let dry for 24hrs , restart return pump ... No need to empty the tank content...

Bought a blenny recently .... Thinking I need a lawnmower ... Hair algae creeping up .. But instead of being a good lawn mower it's starting to look like a tank wrecker ... It's nipping at the silicon at the sides of the tank .. #%#¥£*!!! Any solutions !! I'm thinking of bringing out my fishing line and hook!!
