Can I suggest something here ,... For a start mix you saltwater to the lower end of the hydrometer, and if u buy fish or corals aclimatise them longer and u can actually use the water from LFS or farm and mix your saltwater to same reading the hydrometer gives on the LFS water .

Note the not so good condition wp25 has a problem of not starting after switching off. Need some shaking and knocking and a bit of luck to get it moving , but when it starts moving is will not stop. Some kinda manufActring defect I guess .

Ignore the 20degree , it's all about calibration , calibrate the refractometer with pure distilled water set at 1.000 . U can get the temperature to 0degree but if the refractometer is not calibrated you'll get false reading.

Running biopllets/GFO is always good. Even when it's only a FOWL tank and fish can take high nitrates, they still will do better in cleaner water. Especially if u have a very big tank and WC will take a lot of salt and water. Running biopallets/GFO can and will extend the frequency of WC don't u think so?
