If u are just starting to setup your tank then its easier to remove crabs ...... before putting your liverocks in your main tank remove all unwanted critters from live rocks by dipping in higher salinity SW at specgravity of 1.030 for 1 minutes .. u will find that all critters will evac the rocks and end up at the bottom of pail

u need a hydrometer to check the salinity ammonia ,nitrite and nitrate test kit when cycling . i think u should readup before starting anything ....

i think the crabs will not die .... they feed on the coraline algae and other dead things .... and the grow bigger .... seen dead ones thot they were dead but its only their empty skin .... meaning they are getting bigger and bigger ..... damn crabs .....

when u buy the salt the pakage will state how many gallons of water it will treat ... 3 feet tank is around 50 gallons more if u have a sump tank .. if im not wrong a 2x 4kg pack will be enuff for a 3 feet tank y not buy an 8 or 10 kg pack and u will have some salt remain which u will need coz u need some water change after cycling is over ... i would recomend instant ocean brand at $16 per 4kg pack and $30 for a 8 or 10 kg pack .... cheapest ive seen so far ... most important get a specific gravity of 1.022 - 1.026

i have successfully cooled my 4 feet tank using only 1 computer fan those u buy at sim lim size of fan is 5 inch across note i have a cabinet plus cover aquarium all lights and fan are installed in the hood.... i have 8 tubes of 55 and 36 watts pl tubes .... lights on without fan 30degree .. lights on temperature with fan is 26.5 degree ... tried switching on the fan whole night got shocked when i saw the temperature in the morning ... 24 degree... seriously ... !!! no joke ... needs a pep bottle 1.5 litres of water top up every day ....

i tot specific gravity supposed to be 1.023 -1.025 ... try increasing the salinity ...

I got 1 dunno what angel fish ... gray colour with black stripe at eye with yellow tail ... u intrested .. quite small 1.5 inch

no other way .... empty your current tank and then move to cabinet and fill it up again ..... unless u are superman and can lift up the whole tank full of water sand and livestock....
