i think a cl650 for a 4 feet tank is already considered undersized ... care to share timing it works... im running a cl650 on a 4-1.5-1.5 feet tank with lights on .. chiller turn on for 16min then off for 24 min then turns on again ..

meaning we can put as many equiptments into 1 wall plug as long as the total watts is less than 2300 watts ?

what is the objective of cycling ? to cure live rocks to let all die off/ammonia/nitrite/harmful stuff turn into NO3 to cultivate beneficial bacteria to remove ammonia/nitrite cured live rocks already have BB in them so when cycling with cured liverocks u will have minimum ammonia/minimum nitrite coz u have little die offs and the BB are already there ready to convert the ammonia/nitrite ... so u only need a shorter time for cycling by adding market prawn u are causing an ammonia spike turning the water bad ... thus making cycling time longer .... what u should do instead is just cycle with cured rocks and test the water for ammonia/nitrite and nitrate . u should have minimal ammonia and nitrite coz u already have BB in those cured liverocks... that is y cured liverocks are more expensive than uncured ....

what i know is market prawn is used when .. using dead rock ... or no rocks at all only sand where there is totally no BB to start the BB growth .... when using cured live rocks u already have BB so y is there a need to put in market prawn ... all u need is to cycle until all excess ammonia and nitrite (die offs from rocks) is gone before adding live stock ....which will take lesser time ...

using cured live rocks .. y do u have to add market prawn? cured rocks means u already have bacteria and good stuff on them .... meaning u dont need to cycle so long .. adding market prawn into the tank will only cause an amonia spike making your cycle longer ...

switch on your aquarium lights in the early in morning when its still dark preferbably when those fish are sleeping ... they are gonna be stunned .... then use your hands or rather a net to scoop them up ..... done that to some 6 pc of damsels using only my hands .... and u know how damsels are ...

if u think bout it ... fish from LFS or farms are also from the sea . and i think they are prone to have more disease than the ones we catch locally . personally i have caught many fish locally ranges from butterflys ,gobys , cardinals , puffers and file fish ... they have better survival rates than fish bought from LFS ... but one thing is those caught are mostly not reef safe .... good for fish only setup .have given away many lots of them.

no need to quarantine laaa .... caught from local shore very safe .. caught 1 before very hardyand daring will feed from your hands .. if worry a couple of days quarantine will do .. see if it dies on u which i think will not happen ..
