Yes bro , but still can improve , gonna try a couple if T5 suppliments ... Using LEDs has it's downside .. Lots of shaded area on Sps colony's , not nice
Wow , there could be imbalance going on in there, maybe too much dosing of kh or something else which is causing precipitation . Your livestock won't be taking in too much kh or any other elements.
What I would do is , a major wC. Stop all dosing and do a test after a few days.
Use this link for the dosing amount after that if parameters are still off by too much, it has never failed me when I was doing manual dosing. http://reef.diesyst.com/chemcalc/chemcalc.html
Good luck
If using live sand then it's still ok. Need to let them settle till water clears up before putting in the corals.
It still depends on the size of your tank/water volume, if tank is small I would let the water settle Abit longer before transferring the corals.
Ps: new salt water is NSW seawater from lfs
It actually depends what U have in your new tank.
If u have new dead rocks , new sand and using new salt mixed water then There will be ammonia released and these are not good for corals and fish.
However if you are using old rocks ,old sand(subjective , old DSB is no good) and old water or new salt water then it should be ok to transfer livestocks with minimal casualty.
2 part dosing pump or calcium reactor. You will have to raise the kh first , then tune the doser or CR to maintain.
5-6 alk is too low , sodium bicarbonate will help raise the kh to desired level without overly effecting the ph and calcium like kalk will.
Wahh this kinda grouper also need to buy?? We usually throw these back into the water if we catch them.
Common grease grouper , commonly found around singapore waters
Yes a number of frags survived , some still brown but some just can't make it and died . The orange/red monti did well , I gave it away to some friends.
Will post some pics of the rest of the frags when they colour up hopefully haha
