  1. Firstly what's a fusion reactor?
  2. Yes , I would say I was lucky this time , water level droped 20% , flooded the Livingroom truout the night, I found out the situation only in the morning , water level was at the WM height , turning it into a skimmer , the tank had thick white foam on the surface!! All Sps and corals were sliming badly .. I thought they were gonners..!! And had to wait a couple more hours till LCK open at 10 before I could get new water. Thankfully all is well , I guess the corals just experienced a normal low tide situation for a few hours just like in the wild
  3. Zoas didn't do well , gave away most of the last batch I got.
  4. No problem at all , just sharing what I can. And please take note , those who intend to build this scrubber with legs instead of a floating one , please take note of the height of the water when your return pump is switch off , the led box needs to be well above the water line when the pump is switched off ... Or else you r gonna get an underwater submarine scrubber set ..!!
  5. Full Sps setup with Beckett skimmer!!! Powerrrrr laaa
  6. Crabs, lobsters, shrimps, urchins, seahorse, slugs, snails , list goes on and on.
  7. That's fine , the rings don't have to move.
  8. That's a 2 compartment sump I think , water level in the second compartment will drop due to evaporation , unless there is an auto topup installed .
  9. All pm not read yet ... Mine too
  10. 6am wake up liow .. Haha but seriously bigger skimmer better ,but not too extremely big laaa.. Haha
  11. Skimmer .. The bigger the better
  12. Items are Calcium Reactor , reactor media, co2 tank , regulator and solenoid , ph probe , ph monitor and cutoff switch. When tuned properly , will add kh,calcium, magnesium and other elements automatically to tank water with no fuss .
  13. Copper sulfate is an inorganic compound that combines sulfur with copper. It can kill bacteria, algae, roots, plants, snails. It is sometimes used as an algaecide. The toxicity of copper sulfate depends on the copper content. Not sure if the copper used for fish is copper sulfate but if it is then it will kill algae also.
  14. Baby yellow tang Baby blue tang Baby purple tang Baby powderblue tang Baby archilles tang
  15. Just the thing I need , mind sharing the link , where to get these led ? And do they come with the clip holder?
  16. No need to paiseh !! Just pm me any questions I'll be happy to help.. My pm box always empty haha The led light will take about a month to arrive and it's registered mail , postman will send to your doorstep .. The plastic arcrylic sheet can be found at Artfriend too .
  17. Cut slots in the main screen then put the long strip pieces thru them and then glue the whole screen to the bottom of the box. Airpump ... Get the silent one .. Haha
  18. Do not intentionally add Co2 like those planted tank to your marine tank , the PH is going to drop and that's not good. The normal airpump is good enough. It is coincidently that a CR uses co2 so it's just another good way to remove excess co2 if there are any left after the effluent drips into the tank.
  19. Noise level depends on the airpump you use, the humming sound of the pump and the air bubble sound which will be lesser or less audible when the algae grow more dense , but bear in mind that the more bubble for the scrubber the better. It improves the air intake and the overall water flow through the scrubber. I have mine In The cabinet so can't really hear the sound. The loudest equipment now is the chiller. And I have my CR affluent drip before the scrubber so the excess co2 rich effluent will be used up by the algae and it help moderate the ph level of the tank water. If you are a CR user, you will know the problem with ph from the effluent
  20. Yes those par38 red led works , but the best is still a 660nm led . If u use other par or other red LEDs and your scrubber is only growing slimy black and dark green algae then most likely the light is not strong enough , u can try moving the light closer to the screen.
  21. As for the reflector , i built one without the reflector and it worked just the same , plus point is the reflector acts as a heat dissipator or heat sink , the led light I'm using came with the aluminium board which is already a heatsink so I guess that's why the box did not melt. Below picture shows one with and without the reflector .
  22. This is a picture of 5 days worth of algae growth, just took a picture a minute ago to show. Lots of pods and other micro organism !!
