Hmmm my experience is I've brought back 3 to 4 packs of freshwater fishes, shrimps and plants from Hongkong, and when the customs saw it on the X-ray machine, they just smiled and let me pass. I just hand carried it in a large paper bag. That was 2 years ago, though... I think if u bring in 1 to 2 bags (small ones of cos) and put it inside some hand carry luggage (try to put it together with 'gifts' from your trip). The customs pple shldnt be too excited...u can explain to them that the lifestock are a gift for someone? But dont take my word for it, i believe some guys here have been there and done it, so can wait for their opinion...anyways, i remember there was a discussion starting fr trying to bring in clams - might wana search for dat thread...

Hmmm pardon me if I'm wrong, but that tank at Reef Aquarius has mostly LARGE fish (big Tangs and stuff), and I didnt notice if he did keep any smaller ones... That would remove most of the dangers for them in keeping the lionfish. In yr case, I guess the gamma would be the no. 1 choice for its first meal? If yr Tangs and angels are larger than the lionfish (dwarf lions arent large, so i guess shldnt be a problem?), then I guess they wouldnt be in immediate danger. Just my 0.1 cent

SIGH...I dont know how or why this hobby affects the ego, but it seems that many "experts" love to assert themselves over the edge, while some are just too plain proud to admit their mistakes... This has disappointed me in some way, after I realised the 'political' problems pulling the hobby down...BUT, as Ian and Dinosaur and some others have demonstrated, this hobby is still full of sharing and simple passion!!!

Errr, that looks like a FL hood?

For those experienced fish-keepers: Can i keep this or other Tangs with Triggerfish?

Hahahh i think yr not the only one hooked, so dont worry, we all have eyebags and daydream at work too! Just such a fascinating hobby with so much to see and learn - if only all of the people around us understood our passion ya? -
Hmmm, as i have always been thinking; this policy is just another benefit to the Govt...Think of it this way: More cars, more COE, more ERP, more Road tax, more carpark fees...etc etc. For the banks; yay! another excuse to raise loan interests! (They have hit rock bottom in recent times, u see) Hahah but of cos there will be benefits to us as car owners i guess? If u interested in Mitsubishi cars, pm me, i have a nice guy whom i got my previous Lancer from...gave me and my friend free sports rims, CD changer and body kit... As for the rest of those cocky C&C sales staff...NO COMMENTS... If u really thinking of buying Mitsubishi, i think a Lancer will do, no need Gallant? Unless u like the stronger engine...

Anyone knows where to buy PL light?
wedgee replied to souphamster's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Just thought I'd hijack the thread for a question: Wats the color temp of the blue 'actinic' on a 50/50 PL? Issit the same as the white side? Or issit higher? Does it produce just as much PAR as the white side? -
Unfortunately, camel shrimps are not peppermints...Peppermints are shaped more like CS, but have similar coloration to the Camels. Peppermints are supposedly great aiptasia eaters, but local no stock watsoever (wrong region?). Camels on the other hand, have a reputation for picking on corals (or so i read...). They do look great though? Especially when they do their kinky 'dance'??? Peppermints:

Well couldnt resist chipping in here: For those complaints and incompetencies that we ALWAYS see, and continue to see; THEY ARE HERE TO STAY!!! Why? Cause all BIG BROTHER agencies and linked companies (including those they claim to be pte ltd) have the same lousy management and attitutde: If something bad happens, then correct it... And who are the people behind all these lousy attitudes? The so called 'cream of the crop' top level management. They are the ones who get max pay, least work. But they have a great responsibility though - that is to ACT. Act busy, Act efficient, Act like true professionals... And the disease spreads downwards the chain of command...
