Chris; I've actually thot of it coming to that situation too, and just to endure the unsightly plastic tank (thanx for suggestion), BUT the best solution just literally 'came' to me last nite!!! I managed to catch the stupid bugger!!! I was getting desperate last nite, and as the lights were out, I thot I'd try if the blenny was sleeping in its usual LR hole - I poked the entrance of the hole with a stick to trap it inside (praying all the while dat it WAS!), and slowly removed the rock from the tank. At that moment, like divine intervention, the bugger swam out of nowhere and landed straight infront of the tank, under a rock!!! I slowly grabbed my 2 fishnets and trapped him, while using my fingers to guide him in...The dope was like on crack or something, and he just glided in, all the while looking stoned out totally... ...So ends the story of the berserk blenny - thanx for listening, and for all the suggestions and esp. to Sduu who offered to lend me his fish trap FOC Oh ya btw, i spanked the bugger a few times before throwing him into my FOWLR tank...

Sigh, ya if it comes to this stage, then i will put all the clams into one large plastic trap like yrs, and hope the dope falls for it...Problem is he is very cunning, so gotta wait very long for him to fall for it... <_

Alamak! Dont make fun of my situation leh...me now torn between trying out Hon's trap idea, tearing the whole reef apart, or selling off the clams... Where can i find these fish traps, btw? I dont think the bugger will fall for it (he is soooooooo bloody clever), but I'm willing to give it a try cause me desperate!!! Any kind soul can lend me his just for this occasion?

Sigh, my bi-color blenny has gone on a clam-biting rampage, and he doesnt seem to be stopping, even though i always poke him with a stick when he goes near the clams...Now they are closed all day, and i'm afraid they'll starve to death sooner or later... Why the heck is he doing this? And funny thing is, he's doing it to my newer and smaller clams, leaving my original big one alone!! Now I'm trying to catch him, but with so many LR and corals around, it seems impossible without removing EVERYTHING in the tank (he is soooooo sly). To make things worse, traps and lure dont work, cause he doesnt eat any fish foods: he's a head-banger for algae... How? How? How?

The problem is dat it is being sorta 'bonded' together by algae too...abit of hair and slime algae, become like meatballs on the sand...funnier is dat it is only at the front half of the tank, so is there something going on here??? I had a cyano outbreak some time back (its going now), and it was like a carpet ontop of the sand, but this time its so wierd, like small cyano-green-calcium meatballs!!!

Ya, me interested in these vitamins too, cause I feel that the frozen and dried foods i feed my fish are low or zero in vitamins and minerals??? If these indeed help, wat brands and where can we get them?

Hi guys, got another piece of leather (doesnt seem too happy in the tank, plus its a bit too big for my 3ft...) around 7in across, who wants? Its the open up, broad shaped type, their tips are slightly greenish. If nothing to exchange, then i give for free...

It rolls up into small balls with algae around some of them - when i break it up, it tends to 're-clump' in a day or two

Sorry if this sounds out of topic, but I am having slightly low dKH problems too, though they tend to drop only after a few days to ard 7 or 8...How come they dont drop lower than that? And I'm having another problem too, my sand tends to stick together at some spots, and algae also binds to them in clumps...is this due to chemical imbalance too? I think i read somewhere b4 dat it is due to an excessive element, though i cant recall exactly wat causes this...

Is spray paint effective in this case? I have a spare can of dat, and wonder if it could be as effective as coated paint, if i were to spray it over a few times?

Hi all, have some spare PL lights and coral due to impatient buying and stuff - 2 x 6500K 55W (used for app. 1 mth+) 1 x 10000K 36W actinic 1 x 10000K 36W white (both used for app. 2mth+) 1 x Durian Coral (app. 6 in. by 4 in.) Will settle for: any useful equipment, small coral frags or just cash (last resort). Anyone???

Me thinking of the same thing too since i bot the skimmer - say the guy's DIY too previously...I think it'll work provided the teeth go deeper down, and the box can compensate for some evaporation? Me can't find any suitable boxes though...
