I'm tinking very hard abt doing this, cause instead of spending time and money on testing and using 2-parts or one part additives, i might as well do a 50% water change over 2 days....wouldnt cost me more than a bottle of 2-part i guess... But i fear the corals might not like it, i'd probably have to change the water slowly... Thanx, any more suggestions? Anywhere i can find balanced additives?

Hi dudes, got this low CA/KH problem... My levels are at 320 and 8.0, and i dont tink i can raise them much by using Kalkwasser, unless i evaporated a ton of water each day? Are there any other non PH-affecting additives around dat i could use? RC talks abt using B-ionic and C-balance etc, but i dont seem to have seen it in our LFS here? Please give me yr advice, esp if u have another suggestion on how to raise the levels eventually to my targetted 400 and 9plus... Thanx!

Hi i have a Eheim 2222, but with abit of leak cause the top seal for the cover is worn out already i guess, and a chip off on one of the levers, but the whole canister is still working good, been sitting there since i started my tank...If u dont mind replacing the seal yrself (can get from petmart and other LFS cheap i tink), i can sell it to u less than $100 (gimme a quote in the upper regions?) Bot it 2 years ago at $200+++

Hi guys, does anyone want a tube of ATI 39W T5 Aquablue Special, in exchange for a tube of Atinic Blue? My tank has 4xAquablue and it is really whitish (very very pure white) and doesnt bring out too much flourescence in the corals, so would love to get my hands on an Actinic bulb to place in the middle... Another cheap and ok alternative is to use SCWDs, one for each powerhead, so dat the flow is not constantly focused in one direction (which will cause tissue loss in SPS if directed at them straight) Use higher flowrate PH for SCWDs cause they tend to reduce output by at least 10%, and they also tend to clog up after a few mths, so gotta watch the flow outputs and clean the SCWDs if they do jam up... My personal experience, mostly for poorer reefers hahah...

I bot 2 quite some time ago, and they also did abit of rattling, but they stopped doing it after abt a week in the water - i tink its because the shaft and pump structure are still new, and need time to 'settle in' Just my experience...
