    UPS

Most UPSes are dead from low batteries or damaged components on the Power Board. Try to borrow a multimeter and measure the batteries. Assuming the batteries are 12V each (most probably for office units), just see if the total voltage of the batteries is equal to: Amount of battery blocks x 12.5V. If it is much lower than 12.5V for each block, then changin out the batteries shld work...
  3. No doubt abt the superior design of the Edix - when i first saw it while at the ATM before heading to PR, I was like HOLY SHIT why is there a black tank on the road?!?!? I couldnt resist peering thru the heavily tinted windows into the futuristic interior and go Ooooh...
  4. WAH...My dream tank, acrylic...No more color distortions! Why do the goodies always pop up here after i have bot something else...
  5. Redang pls...unless u guys talkin abt the burger heh... Visibility in almost any dive/snorkel site depends on a few factors (rainfall, lunar cycle, monsoon, etc...) so always assume the worst when u plan for a visit, as expectations can make or break a holiday... If u want best budget, try tioman, but u have to source for boats willing to take u further out, to those dive sites or less visited snorkel sites, cause i heard the common ones they bring u to for snorkelling are rather crappy For a more touristy destination (pamper abit more) try bali or thailand...
  6. MAN, all this philipine diving is making me DROOL....
  7. Hmmm lets all go for advanced together? OT OT OT work work work...
  8. Hmmm Dayang sucks leh all mati corals...why not go tioman instead? I tinkin of takin advanced, but next month seems to be too soon for me wallet, havent even receive the bill for my phuket trip hahah...
  9. Kel, RG: Thanx guys hope to go on a trip real soon - now me clocking my work OT like nobody business..."ME! ME! CHOOSE ME!!! I WORK!!!"
  10. Woah, so soon diving again? I tot u said yr budget blown by this PG trip??? Btw do let me know if u guys plan to go again k, me and wifey very very interested heheh Good to be able to go with some experienced ppl
  11. Wah yr wife sounds powerful! Well, i understand yr situation, its really really hard to fork out money for a further trip when u have a house to upkeep... Not to worry tho, if u DIY and keep it simple, u can explore phuket without breaking yr wallet. My wife and I spent $700 total for 2 days of diving and one night accomodation in Phuket, but if u want better diving, can do a live-aboard in Similans, price wont break yr back either... Here's to bread-munching mornings for a future dive trip!!!
  12. Hahah u tink too highly of me bro, i only had 11 dives under my weight belt when i went over to Phuket! Thank god managed to remain calm in the adverse currents and didnt lose me wifey... Ya abit scary, the currents in Phuket - can be brought on suddenly without warning...especially sometimes when u round a bend on a large mount, the water just swooshes u...How was King Cruiser btw? One thing i did like abt the waters there was it was much warmer - actually had some thermal spots that nearly make me sweat! Well, next aim of mine is to take advanced to completely master my buoyancy and do some deeper dives so that next yr can go somewhere exotic...
  13. Hahah why dont both of u appreciate a good cup of steaming hot skimmate? Well, it was a very different diving experience from the usual M'sia sites, but the viz was bleh, so it made things even out, not too fantastic... BUT, the much better briefings, boatmen service, touristy feel (unlike with local dive shops, abit like goin for work dive... ) and much much more fish life made it a trip worth remembering! Not to mention the much stronger currents underwater...Quite scary for a beginner diver like me...
  14. All sea snakes are venomous rite?
  15. Same for this yellow fatty, follow follow...
  16. Farewell, little dude...
  17. This little 'prick' kept following us ard, super curious little dude...
  18. First prize, a cup of skimmate, if anyone can see anything from this pic...
  19. Had to take a risk to get so close to the trigger sia... Glad the pic turned out ok, cause it was the first dive of the day, and I had forgotten to flip over the LCD for the damned camera!!!! So basically i was shooting blindly... OK here are some more pix
  20. Wahahah i meant it literally lah - just wanted to take close pix of one in action - luckily those in Phuket were seemingly busy minding their own buz, so i could take advantage and shoot away...
  21. The one fish I have been wanting to catch hold of, and finally did! 3 times in 2 days of the Phuket trip! The Titans were all over the reefs when i was there... So siok to see them... This dude leading a pecking group onto a poor clam...

  24. Hi guys, it is with depression tat i set my foot on local soil again, after 2 days of sun and sea in sunny Phuket... Not very good visibility in the few sites that i went to, but the fish life was out of this world!! Soooo many fishes swimming against the reef rockwork, hiding in all sorts of crevices, or just bunched up in the open, threatening to swim right into yr mask! OK enuff liao here the pix: (Sites: Koh Doc Mai/Bi Da Nok/Bi Da Nai/Anemone Reef/Shark Point)
