  1. definitely we are not here to complete or 'show-off' who has what! just joking.... but personally, I also prefer to get the largest skimmer that I can afford, bec I think that will at least eliminate some factors of difficulties in reef keeping.
  2. walau...yours 4ft use SK6000....make me paiseh to mention my skimmer leow... think I must plan to run 2 concurrently leow....
  3. But some of the clams have been with me for months...the last addition was 1 maxima 2 weeks ago, 2 maximas 3 weeks ago, and these 3 are the 1st to died which the 2 that came in 3 weeks ago died together last week, and the other maxima that came in 2 weeks ago died during last Sat! and today, saw 3 almost gone croceas....and another 3 croceas not opening.
  4. I dunno...and I lost 3 clams last week too! maybe there are many more snails inside.??? The clams usually 'drop-off'/detached from the rock that they are attaching, while leaving behind the rock a portion of their flesh. after that the clam will be gone in 24 hrs.
  5. Any idea how long it takes for the pyramid snail to kill a clam? I found 1 in my tank, and 3 clams died today! and another 3 not expanding leow....will they recover?
  6. You should have your tank made to the size of the broken limestone floor! it will be damed solid
  7. haha...else water in the skimmer is much more than water in the sump/tank!

  14. You can asked him to send the car to your insurance Authorised workshop for repair in order to claim the insurance. When his car is in there already, you can discuss with the workshop on the repair cost, and decide whether to claim insurance or payoff with cash. If his workshop happened to be a authorised workshop, asked for the assessment report by the insurance company on the repair cost. Then you can pay according to the cost stated. Any extra charge on the invoice to you, you just forward the assessment report and his invoice to the Police Station. Good Luck to him.
  15. there is nothing special abt the rock. it is just the size, big and flat. In fact, I would say such rocks are common in the past, but for the past 1-2 mths...all LR that I manged to find in most LFS/LFF are like abt 4inches by 5 inches in size only. hmmm...we all knew/heard abt the infamous event in Feb/Mar lor.... In fact I order 200kg at $3.5/kg earlier...but didn't get in time to be delivered! really bad timing!
  16. Your 3mm leg should be strong enough. Normal fishtank leg is using 2mm. btw, you sure the light is not too heavy for the sliding hood? look scary.
  17. yup recently bought, that's why so expensive. The rest are not for sale. This piece is a leftover at the moment, till I rescape my rock works again. below are the 4 pieces I mentioned. This is a 6ft tank.
  18. yup, but I bought them at $18/kg. This is actually the smallest piece I've. the rest are easily 9-10kg each, and 4 of them can fill up 1/2 of my 6ft already.
  19. Anyone interested? too exp izzit? can negotiate...
  20. A piece of the above for sale. asking price. $75 below is the pic. Anyone interested, pls pm me. Comments are not welcome!
  21. interesting thread to read.....suggest AT pin this thread up..... the discussion here save me a lot of 'blind' searching. It make my follow-up search in the web much easier... (but again..it became a guessing thread... )
  22. not much paper work. But they will made you drink the water to ensure that the 'solution' will not explode. send the fish thru X-ray....to ensure no electronic stuff is inside the fish..
  23. bristle worm kill your clam? dun scare me ley.... why put medication? Your UV not functioning? you not concern abt affecting your coral? I'm running the UVC-7000, so far no outbreak of ich for the pass 3 weeks, with 3 tangs introduced. food wise, alternate day with frozen mysis shrimp soak in normal garlic 'water'. (I just chop the garlic, and soak in water, with the frozen mysis shrimp.)
