Bro, 1/7 overpowered for his 12 gallon. Think he can look for the sales thread by momopeach, arctica 1/20 at $250 which is meant for 24g. Me using 1/15 for My 24g tank. Good to spend abit more for reliable chiller though china brands have proven their effectiveness but thermostat always an issue.

Answers to yr questions; 1. Seems ok for me. 2. I can loan u my ext. Controller to test yr chiller. 3. Link to yr fr where possible but choking might blow yr uv bulb. 4. Install clip-on fan as wat I did for my MH. Yes, it doesn't cool but disperse the heat. Problem with standalone chiller.

If tank without cabinet, 1,000 plus depending on who u get to do. With cabinet, easily above 2k. For equipment depends on yr choice and budget.

Dear bros and sis out there, encountered issue with my arctica 1/15 chiller. The fan or compressor doesn't start after a few round of cooling. The cooling light will light up but fan or compressor don't start. Must off everything and on back to restart the cooling. Tried using external thermostat and same problem. Any technical ppl or reefer experienced the same problem and able to identify the reason? Warranty over. Advance thanks. .

Also got 2 x 4ft 2 tubes DE retrofit if u want t5 for supplement - separate quote.

Going to have black background for yr tank or clear? Wave maker, go for controllerable to allow wave box effect. Plan yr fish list well and coral list well. Lol.

Just stop each system for a week and test yr parameter. Which ever method works for u, go for it. Hopefully it doesn't prove all must work together, then u will have headache. Lol.

If u got only 1 wrasse, should be fine, especially if yr rock scape comes with many holes for it to hide. The way u introduce the shrimp should be placing the shrimp onto rock surface where it can go into hiding. They are vulnerable when changing shell. However I ever witness my wrasses tearing pistol shrimp apart when I release it in open. .
