welcome on board. Pls take my advice as reference as i am new also. IMO, a simple setup which i currently own is equipped with rocks, sand, skimmer which also add as filter(with some modifications) and light. Skimmer is more important than filter which only remove those big particules and unwanted particules. You can use inverts to help you clear those uneaten food, etc but you still need regular water change and siphoning of "waste" from the bed if needs be(clear base). Skimmer help to "cleanse" the water and reduce NO2 which will turn to NO3. Both needs monitoring. However, for NO2, there is so called the organic vs inorganic(hope i am right). Look through the post on algae scrubber. Interesting as it moves away from skimmer system. There are other reefers who dont use skimmer but deep sand bed but for your case, i doubt it can be used. hi, to confirm to reef to FOWLR, i think just sell off all your corals. Can reduce your light requirement and increase your water temperature to say 28 to 29 or even 30. Other supplement equipment such as CR, etc can also be removed.....think should be rather straight forward.... anyway, this is my opinion and can be wrong. Can wait for better advices from snr reefer. : )

was quite crowded yesterday night. I would say the shipment seems to have more SPSes than LPSes. LPSes are what they posted....sea fan, prata, brain, etc. Angel wise....i dont really know the species(got juvenile angel - those black with yellow string), hence cant comment much. Alantic blue tang quite nice blue but saw only 2. Lots of mis bar black clown. Anyway, yesterday, the fishes are all in shock...hence maybe still got chance if you want to grab one....keke. Hi Bro, nice scaping you have there. For coraline algae, it needs calcium and magnesium. With good water quality and enough lighting, it will come. Just be patience. Some of your corals are not easy to keep, for example cauliflower. You mentioned about the greenish stuff might be algae. You may wish to have a FR with PO remover media to reduce algae issue. just my 2 cents worth of comment. Nevertheless, it is a good start and welcome to this hobby. : )
