You know the recommended flow rate for your chiller? If 3000 or 3500 is slightly higher than the recommended, it should be fine due to headloss through all the elbow joint, etc. Me also learning, so maybe experienced bro or sis can confirm this. i remember seeing big one at LCK...not sure whether still have or not but peppermint shrimp should be still available. Think last week, iwarna has them but rather small. Heard small one is more hardworking than big one....lol. Maybe you can consider getting small one as once stabilised, they grow quite fast. hi bro, you have consider whether you want to save money to just have one pump. If the answer is yes, then you have to understand if one fails, all fail. Anyway, in my opinion, it will be good to have 2 returns. Incase one down, there is another pump to ensure water circulation. If you want to do T-off, you must ensure valve is catered for each opening ...this is to allow you to do maintenance. Just remember T-off will cause headloss and any elbow joint will also add to it.
