1. Esp for those with tank at outdoor/balcony, how do u handle the sunlight problem? UV? Can't advice much as don't have this kind of setup. Maybe try blocking the light as this is one source for algae to grow. Other will be keeping a "clean" water by using DI water, less feeding, less bio load, etc. 2. Is Chengnai a good choice given mine will likely get some rain now and then? Yes, strongly recommend. 3. Am thinking of 3.5'x2'x2' with external overflow. Possible to go braceless? Think yes but the tank maker must be very good. If not wrong, aquamedic tank is braceless. 4. And lastly, any good/reliable/reasonable $$ tank maker to recommend?? Subjective to good but you can try to check with Ah heng from iwarna, han teck and yonghua(can go to arowana website to look for them).

Maybe can start a thread to give feedback on our expectations on LFSes, hopefully they can learn from here and improve but NO SHOP NAME SHOULD BE QUOTED..... For a start.... 1. Call for reservation and helping to reserve for regular customers are good but one thing i dislike is those "helper/s" helping to unpack just anyhow take the "gems" and leave it one side for those he or she knows to select(without them asking the helper to help them keep those gems). I think it is rather unfair to those who came earlier and end up with disappointment as they know they won't be faster than those "helpers". 2. Stand-in equipment if equipment breaks down. For LFSes selling equipment, though warranty is important but i think as reefer, we want almost immediate assistance to ensure our tank won't crash if one equipment is down. Take for example, if a skimmer is down, the LFS keeps their promise to ensure replacement but this will take a week or so, hope they can understand whether the tank can last without the equipment until the replacement set comes in. 3. Respond to enquiry within 24 hrs.
