  1. I presume u are talking abt overflow box. Think u can chk out reef octopus or aquamarin for their ready made overflow system. As this is hang on, pressure on yr glass.
  2. Bro, yr tank will be using canister as filter? As salt water is denser,, hence pressure on the tank will be higher. That is why ppl advice u to go for at least 8 mm as 5 mm looks and feels fragile. To minimize the pressure, yr rock and equipment should go for light and not too much pressure to yr tank. Hope this help.
  3. Bro, is possible but selection of equipment is important and less loading to ur tank.
  4. Yes. Iwarna has them if u can't find direct source. All the best.
  5. You are one lucky chap who decommed so smoothly. Cheers and hope you come back. hehe.
  6. for those placed on top of the tank should be alright. For those lower or sand bed coral, may not depending on what you keep. Having said that, it also depends on your lighting placement(how near to water). Anyway, dont hearsay, see it with yr own eyes to confirm. anyway, the choice is yours.
  7. For ehiem, reliability is no doubt but nowadays they are made in roc, hence not sure whether they can maintain that. Eden, not a user, thus can comment. From yr tank, think 1655 seems to be enough unless u want to go super over skim. For external, must prepare for leak from the joint as time goes. Yes, doubt maxspect 160 can support yr 2.5 ht especially those corals on sandbed.
  8. Just to add "open concept" is without much partition to constraint the flexibility to change yr sump setup in future. Hope this clear the "mist". Thks.
  9. Open concept allows you to have free play on yr sump design. However, in yr planning, u should consider the following: 1. Any mechanical filtering? Basket or filter socks, etc 2. Micro bubbles issue? 3. Space planing for equipment(in-sump or out-sump)pumps, reactor(FR & CR), UV, skimmer, drop-in coil, etc and setup(bio filter like biohome, bio ball, algae scrubber, refugium, rocks, quarantine compartment, etc) 4. Equipment maintenance space
  10. haHa, then time to upgrade. Lol
  11. did you check the feeding pump to the chiller?
  12. think u can specialise in anemone...lol
  13. bro, bioball can be good if setup correctly and bad if setup wrongly
  14. Think Ard 10 to 12 red notes. Iwarna still left a few lemon peel, less than 5 flame angels, ard 3 to 4 alpha male flame wrasse, 1 chervon and the small declivis butterfly(If my eyes did fail me).
  15. Quite a lot of Lemon peels, yellow tangs and flame wrasses at iwarna. AT left around 3, chervon left ard 2(1 good size), butterfly left ard 2 to 3 but got one very small(ard 1.5 to 2 inches), flame angel not much left, barlett a handful. All the best.
  16. Creation of cave will allow conquering and domination. Thus keep tame fishes will be good. Yr purple goby is a good start. Can consider clown fish, assessor, mandarin, etc. U have to decide u want fishes that swim around or hide all day except feeling time. For anthia, go for sunburst. Maybe consider skipping chromis. Last few fishes to consider, hammer and black cap. Lol.
