Bro, white spot will always be there. If your fishes are stress, they will be vulnerable in getting white spot. As mentioned, it will spread, hence if all your fishes are not strong...they will get it.....for those established and healthy one, they can resist the spot. Think some ppl will ask you to quarantine the fish from the rest but i tried this method few times and it actually kill the fish faster. Maybe snr can advice the proper steps. Alternative, do water change if it is caused by water problem. To improve the water, you can also install UV. For me, i installed UV and ozoniser, i would say it does help. To help further, you can get cleaner wrasse and cleaner shrimp to help. But whether they will help depend on yr luck. Personally, my fire shrimp also help and my tangs will swim to them and let them do cleaning....like car washing...hehehe....Another thing to do is maybe when u bring your fishes back home, climatise them successful and try them to eat. Eating will boost their immunity. Put in garlic guard and vitamins will help. Think tat is my limited knowledge.

Hi Bro, Yasha goby and yasha shrimp....price depends ....from 30 plus to 80 plus....lol...there are other goby and shrimp....just note shrimp like cleaner, fire, banded, camel, dancing, etc are not likely to pair up with goby...u can have more pairs but depends on your fate or how you can try to put them together without fighting....they need hiding area....usually underneath rocks....you will hardly see the shrimp...lol...maybe at the opening...goby depends on his guts...wahaha.... It can last quite hrs if properly packed and not exposed to sun. Nevertheless, the longer u take to bring back home...the stress level might increase.... U can keep small cleaner shrimp...hehe....they will move ard....shift left and right.....cleaning your fishes.....blue leg hermit or scalet hermit..... places to buy...maybe henry......at marine life...clementi area...walkable distance...but sunny03 wont want to walk...lol...i will walk to jireh, ML and then to C328 or harlequin. Hehe.....few hours spent....lol.... goby and clown should be okay. If you keeping fish only, u can try but yr fishes must be seasoned to the water .....once they are seasoned...they are quite hardy and can withstand certain level of "dirty" water. However, when u introduce new fishes...dirty water will increase the fatality rate.....and maybe spread or affect others...hence....if your tank is small and with normal skimmer, just becareful to stock the type and number..

Hi Bro, just to share what i know....think market rate will apply to those common fishes.....but then sometime it really depends on the shop and knowledge of buyer ....still a supply and demand issue...hehe... For black clown, think u are referring to black ocel clown and not saddle back ....less than $50 for a piece .....cheapest i know ....close to $30+/-(depend on stock)....nevertheless it depends on their body pattern...unique one can be : X ........ if buy paired....price should be higher than buying 2 individual piece.... Hope the supply will increase......and demand remains to get a lower price....but think rather hard..... me thinking of keeping a pair but is a nemesis to clown...hence will wait patiently untill i can keep true per....lol.... LCK got....some with unique pattern but was quoted less than a blue note when they first arrived. Didnt dare to buy....high risk but with that price...maybe can pick gem...hehe...now not sure as they may have picked those unique piece to sell at higher will wait patiently ... : )

Lol.....meaning bacteria will keep multiply....so got to on it continuously....nevertheless, once your water and tank are stable and self cycling.....think dont have to run it any more....i am thinking to stop cos my sump is small.... sighz...thinking of upgrading when my flat comes but too many factor to consider....sometime really wonder why am i spending and giving headache to myself but when i see the fishes and corals growing...i am happy....sighz...one of my cleaner shrimp got murdered by my newly purchased fairy wrasse.....heartpain...from 1 inche size and it grown to around 3 inche...sob sob sob....hopefully my other shrimps learn from here...another murder,....i am going to put the wrasse to prison....

Hi Bro, Based on your write-up, i assume your tank has been properly cycled. For inverts, they are rather hardy except for certain shrimps and hermit crabs where you need to acclimatise them slowly before releasing it in the tank. For fishes, health and acclimatisation are important. If you have seen the past posting, there are many cases where fishes eating well and died in weeks time. Once fishes acclimatised to the tank and start eating, it will help to boost their immunity by adding garlic guard in your feeding. For me, the UV and ozone do help in improving the water and fight white spot....but once your tank is stable....it might not be required. Nevertheless, i still using them and it really help in speeding up to stablise the tank. It might not be water but the stress level of the fishes. For your yellow wrasse, it is likely hidden underneath the sandbed which mean it might be stress and she still refuse to come out, it might starve to die....your rock scape got plenty of hidding place? Hope my limited knowledge help but pls use this as reference cos me not experience enough to give professional advice. Thanks.

in my opinion,it might not work as the film is usually stick on the internal part of the panel, meaning if it has to stick inside the tank...you have to apply soap water on the surface and stick over. Must not have any bubble. Not sure how resistent it can be to saltwater. Not sure if stick outside the tank, it will work or not...and also wat solution to make it stick.....maybe can do a small scale prototype..and inform us the outcome...hehe Hmm...maybe someone has succeeded. Will wait for more comment.

My opinion is one spot where it is not near any equipment and away from those wave maker or current spot....near equipment, your chiller will cut in very often....near wave maker....it might not be accurate due to flow which might give false picture that your tank is cool.....maybe you are put a 2...one at the sump and one in the tank.......for me...i got 2...one in the tank and the other in the sump and using my chiller to monitor....but me keeping zoas, mush and ric...and some LPS..so in general, 28 is ok.... for skimmer, do you have budget? In general,H&S, Deltec, Becket, etc are good....but personally, i like H&S and Deltec....lnot difficult to tune with less adjustment and easy to use....

Bro, 27 or 28 is ok. By the way, where you place the probe for the temperature monitoring device is important. For skimmer, it comes in length, width and height requirement, notwithstanding the fact that working space and your other equipment like FR, pump, etc..... Skimmer comes with hanging type, insump or outsump. For your 6ft, hanging should be out of question. Insump or outsump, depends on your available space. Hope this help.

ehiem one of the trustworthy one but heat wise......cant comment as diff expose to many different brands....nevertheless, if you are concern able heat load to your water...can design outside pump return...hope my limited experience does help..... : )
