The AT transferred from my old tank. This tank at my parent place. Setup in 2 weeks and transferred my big fishes over and along the way added new fishes. Now my house tank, all small fishes.

Can share experience but no guarantee from me. In this hobby, what works for me, may not work for you. Also, many times, new members may have preset their thinking and just need assurance. Once you give them different advice, they usually will disagree. That may be one of the reasons why many old reefers choose to keep quiet.

Just change water and clear the waste in the tank. Trying to improve the water quality now but doing it slowly. They really eat alot(i have to top up 3 red bamboo rocks every week plus my parent feed them like no body business.

Yes. Non crtitical like dosing pump, can go for resales. Core equipment, I wont but some equipment like ehiem return pump is trustworthy. With yr freshwater experience, can apply here on the approach.

Hi, for the different glasses, is about color distortion. If u know what you want, go for customized made. For quality, few tank makers have been around for some times, coral reef, n30, etc. u can go see their silicon workmanship. For diy, there are few shops that are cheap but u need to give them the dimensions, etc. There are few free lance setup reefers around also. U can also approach them or they might start pming u.

Read more on copper. Personally, I nvr copper my fishes.

From my experience, not all fishes need to go through QT after buying from lfs. Big angel is a must....lol. Maybe u want to do good acclimatization. Whether u want to use copper, do read up more. For me, at times, the more you do, the faster the fish died on you... Not sure how many succeed in reviving a fish, all the medication etc are stress the fish further causing faster death. Learn how to buy stable fishes and increase chance of survival. Lastly, yr tank must be stable and season enough for fishes.

Nowadays, not many lfses going through QT in separate system. For QT, if you are in this hobby long enough, there was a lfs that qt fishes in weeks and do proper recording for almost each fishes(not damsel, chromis, et). The easy way is using copper system but they cannot 100% guarantee survival. Hence depends on your belief. Quality of fishes can be contributed by many reasons especially how their suppliers handle the fishes, transportation, etc. hence yr likely will slowly develop. Just go and buy at place where you feel comfort.
