that is a sound advice from bro kalib. For the prism skimmer, second hand should cost you 80 and below....i do come across reefer selling for 35....but depending on your luck. For first hand, if not wrong, it should be above 200....

bro, dont give up but be patient. Maybe you want to consider cycling your tank longer to make it mature before adding livestock. i suggest you get a better skimmer for your 2ft tank...i have used prism and i find it worked....hence if you are on budget side...can consider as some bros here are selling.....water parameters include pH, SG, nitrite, nitrate and phos. level. search thr the forum to understand more in cycling and initial setup. bro, maybe you can give your fish sometime to adapt to other foods........for tangs...i think ppl usual will put seaweed or "red bamboo", etc for a start to get them feeding...thereafter...they will slowly learn from other fishes to take on other type of foods(hope yrs is not that picky and stubborn..lol)....at least your fish is eating and wont starve to death....All the best.

nearest marine fish shop will be at chinatown but in my opinion, not worth visiting. You familiar with MRT route? If yes, suggestion you take MRT to clementi, pasir ris, boon keng, ang mo kio or serangoon station. However, once reached the station, you still need to take bus or walk quite a distance before reaching any marine shop.

bro, for 4 ft tank, the advice is to use 1/4 and above chiller. For artica, i think it will give .5 degree allowance. Other brands operate differently. Anyway, just monitor and seek advice from reefers here.

bro, if you are cycling your tank, you dont have to turn to 27. As mentioned by bro Piero, 28 degree is still possible. If you are keeping fishes and non demanding corals, you may go up to 29. Anyway, this is personal experience. Hence, some ppl opinion may differs. It is really up to you. As mentioned, your unit is facing west sun, hence i think your water will heat up faster. However, the chiller will just kicks in more often during that period. Maybe it is a good time to test whether your chiller can really support your tank by setting it to say 26 and see how long it takes to cool down and how fast it takes for the chiller to kick in again.

if you want to test your cycling process....yr nitrate, nitrite, ammonia, etc should spike initially and later drop to zero....other parameters are meant to ensure your water is ok for corals, etc...
