  6. hi bro law, so u gotten yr D90, me might be getting one but the quote gotten above 1.7. any good lobang..,,,
  7. Hi Bro, for a chiller to support yr 2ft, the flow rate should be within 2500L/H to ensure efficiency of the chiller. So if you follow the recommendation, the pump may not support the "return" as many headloss will be encountered in the chiller and elbow joint, etc. economic pump, you should be looking for aquabee pump, 2000, 2000i and 3000. Other brand, high power consumption. Reef Octopus new pump also energy saving but not sure full pledge in or not. For compartment, i suggest you keep 2 and get bros help here to use acrylic to box up the part where water flow down from tank to sump.... durso pipe, search the net, you will see the diagram, it is like an inverted J pipe like structure. Purpose allow you to adjust water level in compartment where your tank water will flow in. It helps to silence noise generated from water flowing into the compartment. High water level, less noise. Vice versa. For skimmer, plan your equipment that you want to put in sump. then determine the space for skimmer. then decide on the type. Hang on, in sump or out sump. For in sump, get those second h&S if you are on budget, good and proven skimmer. As long as it is needlewheel, should be good. For outsump, same but run the risk of leak. For hang on, i will only recommend 2 proven one...mce 500 or 600. For mce500, though hang on, the body must be in the sump or tank due to the pump. For mce600, the body can be outside the sump as there is a pipe to suck water into the skimmer and allow it to flow out. Another promising hang on skimmer will be reef octopus but yet to see the result. All the best.
  8. suggest you get advice from bro waime on his setup and advice on improvement. The sump for 2ft cube is rather small and limited, hence plan your setup. If you are going for chiller, apart from your return pump, you will need a chiller return pump chilled water for your return compartment or simply use your return pump to chiller then return to your tank(your return pump will need a powerful one, maybe 4000L/H and taking headloss into consideration and requirement for your chiller(not advisable as meeting your chiller flow rate may not be powerful enough to support the return). An algae scrubber is not hard to DIY but just think through how you one want to control the growth and not allowing your sump to be flooded with algae. For skimmer, you have to see your space and its effective to determine which to go.
  9. if you staying near airport, then pasir farm nearest to you. If you going zoo, then Lim Chu Kang farm will be near to you. For AM pricing, no comment. Hehe. Fusion food in singapore...hehe....mixture of everything....if you go to tourist attraction to eat, it will be more expensive if you compared to those local venue.....hehehe. What you miss in singapore, maybe we can recommend venue for you to visit and eat...hehe. For coral, blasto easily $35 to $40....for doughnut corals, we think you are referring to prata? Price should be close to $100 to more.....can reach $200 plus.....hope i am not scaring you.....sighz.....understand they are rather cheap in indonesia, etc. ......
  10. For koralia equipment, think the best place is aquamarin but you can email or call them before hand to understand the stock and their location. For corals you mentioned, i think you can go to Golden Octupus and Reef Depot. They are quite near one another. Hence, you can take cab from one place to another or MRT(Look out for circle line and North East Line. Think for AM, the nearest MRT is tai seng(not sure open already), for golden octupus, the nearest is serangoon and for reefdepot, nearest will be marymount). For other further LFSes that carry the corals you intended to get, will be pasir ris farm and Lim chu Kang farm. I suggest you go Pasir Ris farm as there are easily 3 to 4 LFSes carrying them. Hence, you may wish to visit Reefdepot at ShunFu estate area, then walk to marymount MRT and alight at serangoon MRT(To Golden octupus) and then to tai seng(Aquamarin). Thereafter, take a cab to pasir farmway 2 & 3 to visit the farms. Maybe you can advice your stay in singapore so bros and sis here can give better advice. Welcome to Singapore.
  11. Alvin from Turbo Swift. Contact is 91077171.
  12. you want to try to use turbo swift? Had used them twice and recommended to some bros here, so far satisfactory service. Very punctual and reasonable price. They cover your tank if they shatter them. Their trolley has cushion and so is their vehicle. They can also transport sand, rock, etc and do up piping(this one i never try) if you interested, can pm me for their contact.

  14. bro, i have one sump, think is around 3ft. Not sure whether suitable for you, if yes, you can take it FOC. If you intend to make one sump, you can also go to some frame makers. The one near GO is one example. Kelantan area also got one. Me will be going there to have my sump made. 6mm 4ft, ard $150. Thinkness and design will determine the price.
  15. those looking for juvenile alantic blue tang, can start hunting tomorrow......think is only around 50 cent coin big........
  16. if money not an issue, think you should just go for D90.
  17. Hi Bro Law, me also thinking to get DSLR. For D90 vs 5000D, D90 is of the higher range and having good review. For nikon 5000D , you can compare to canon 500D, both are entry level DSLR and almost the same spec. For canon, it is made in japan whereas nikon lower end model made in thailand. After much research, i am towards canon due to the lens are universal. For Nikon, depending on the models, must use specific series lens....for third party lens, some functions dont work like the auto focus, etc. u can go 3 places to get quote, alan photo, MS photo and cathay photo. Maybe you want o go clubsnap to read more before deciding. Cheers and all the best.
  18. expects carribean shipment this week.....hunters....do hunt around..... : )
