  1. thanks bro. Fragmaster already labelled his prata as exotic....dont dare to try my luck. Wahaha. If cant get....will wait or got other red corals....lol.
  2. i keep them almost a month and has been in this arrangement for a year plus. So far ok for me. For the bacteria, it will kill both good and bad and for me, i think i dont need the bacteria, just want good water parameter and supplement trace element. For nano tank, maybe good to have aerated NSW due to less water volume which will affect parameter drastically.
  3. dead rock unlikely to have them....purple is because of coraline. Maybe u can go T95 to check out. However, if you have calcium, etc to keep it...if not...it will turn white...and make sure no hermit incase they eat them.....
  4. i went, left one red.........nothing much to choose....so didnt take it...the rest....green...etc. Thanks for your help. : )
  5. just trying my luck.....think i might be named as low baller for a red prata...lol. Budget is still open depending on my liking .....but unlikely to buy those precious gems out there which are premium priced. Just want common red prata to decorate my tank to make my fishes happier. Thanks.
  6. upz for you. very nice of you. Good day.
  7. Dear all, currently looking for red prata. Budget is around $100. If you have and willing to let go cheap, kindly pm me. CNY coming....need something red in tank....hopefully can bring me good luck inorder to continue this hobby...lol. Thanks for your attention.
  8. it was collected for my tank setup.....realised i got too much after scaping...lol....can easily setup a 6 ft tank....not a collector of rocks but keeping a pail of tonga rock for future if i am going into sps.....lol. Anyway, a pail of rocks has been collected. Thanks for the bro who collected and at close to wee hour. This showed your commitment and passion in reefing. Reef on. The other 2 pails are tentatively reserved. However, i need to clear them by this week, if they cant, i might have to release to the next bro in line. Thanks for everyone's attention. Regards.
  9. did a rescape....till 4 am plus....then post before sleeping mah.....got kids....time is not at our side.....lol. Hope your wife speedy recovery. : )
  10. Got around 3 buckets of dead rocks to give away to those newbies. Easily can fill 2 to 3 ft tables....FOC.... but small token will appreciated....lol. Whoever can collect them first will have priority. In case of overwhelming response, i will only reply to those confirmed. Happy reefing. : )
  11. bro, depends....either go down on sat late afternoon or sunday...sms to confirm. Dont want to dilute your thread. As spoken, u can try them but the initial part a bit more work. : )
  12. bro, trying sun corals huh...hehe.
  13. hi, for anemones, they do need flow but not very high type. It is hard to confirm what type of flow they want, hence, for a start, place your wavemaker/s and lighting and then add your anemones....they will move to their ideal spot and therefore during their search, they will not go round stinging your other precious corals. However, once they found their ideal spot, that doesnt mean they dont change their location as any lighting and current change might cause it to move. One risk of keeping anemone is it can kill your corals as it moves and secondly, if it goes inside your wave maker, etc and got blended.....fast response needed for water change, if not, your tank will crash due to toxic emitted from it. AB got 3000 but not pressurised. Remember all the headloss that might make your return flow slow. All the best.
  14. one of the promising LEDs, any showroom and advice on the support? Bro Kelvin, think u likely need 4 ft...hehe.
  15. bro, apart from that, was the died clown behaving funny for the past few days? for the death, any tell tale sign of injury, etc? Although they are claimed hardy but when i first started, after tank setup for 1 month plus, i got problem keeping clown. Only after 3 months plus to 4, then i succeeded in keeping them. All the best.

  17. bro, if yr skimmer not very big, still possible(or u go for hang over type). First compartment u might want to consider placement of wool for filtration, then come the skimmer compartment plus yr chiller return and finally yr return pump compartment. Yr uv can just hang at one side of the sump, yr chaeto can be at yr return or skimmer section but not goin to be big, also when u use light, yr sump might have algae bloom, what some bros did was to "box" out and make it black. U might want to consider fr placement. Also, make sure yr sump can handle yr tank when power failure, no flooding will occur. Clearance space for equipment removal for maintenance. U can search thr those who own 2ft cube for their sump posting. U can also drop by my place after yr lion dance event to clarify things. Cheers and happy reefing.
  18. Look for dr evil or de lighting at the sponsor section.
