  1. If I'm not wrong, there's a need to do so
  2. Somehow from my experience, lighting plays a part I got a colony of brown zoos with orange mouths turn to baby blue with pink mouths under my MH (frags up for swop )
  3. Be careful of those hitchhiking hairy crabs, you'll notice you need some Brands chicken essence later
  4. I also split my return into 2 recently, but the flow is a little too gentle for my tank Hope to upgrade my return pump soon
  5. The thing is chaeto is really rare in singapore and you can only get it from other reefers
  6. Hope my cynarina becomes like your green monster Anyway, you cynarina went through a colour morph right? Care to share some pics of the change?
  7. Oh you flatter me Still learning as I carry on with this hobby and I'm glad to share past experiences with other reefers
  8. I believe that there is often a misconception on lower the temp. the better For a reef, temp of not more than 30 degrees or 1 degree below the border is all right. I set my tank's temp. at 28 degrees and the everything is doing fine and some of the mushies are even splitting In fact, I've read a post in RC that low temperatures may slow down biological catalytic reactions and cause corals to slowly die off
  9. Huge AT KOTR (King of the reef)? Hope to see the return of your awesome reef soon....
  10. I'll be fragging one of my yumas soon so maybe I can spare a frag Will get back to you once its done
  11. How come your pump is so far from your tank? 8ft of head is gonna require a damn power pump to even give substantial flow
  12. The road to success DOES exist, its only whether you have The VISION to see it, The COURAGE to take a step And the PERSEVERENCE to continue walking
  13. You should also have a reservoir ready to cope with the evaporation Since you have anthias, its hard to slow down the auto feeder as you do not want food pouring into your tank when no one's eating And depending on the type of skimmer you are using, you might want to find ways to prevent skimmate from overflowing from the collection too.
  14. Look out for nudis that come hitchhiking with the zoos once it breeds out of control, you have to spend weeks nuking them
  15. Media like rowa tend to clump together of placed in a stationary position under moderate flow. That's why people use FRs not only to maximise the area of contact(collision theory) and also to prevent the media from clumping
  16. Dunno, just feel super energized after hearing the song Dee dee dee ba dee dee doo doo .......
  17. I do not really like snails for cleaning the tank walls as they leave mouthprints all over. You can try scraping algae yourself, and its faster too
  18. Try getting a BLACK sea cuke to sift your sand. As long as they do not get disturbed, its all right
  19. Hi guys, care to share some inspirational songs you have come across? For me: 1)Welcome to my life-----Simple plan 2)Lean on me-----Joe Cocker 3)Hamster song-----Hampton the hamster
