  1. Ok 2 more pics before I call it a day With my skimmer pulling DOC at this rate, I wonder how it will be like when I run ozone
  2. Yes you are. This poor specimen was super stressed when I sort of "saved" it from the shop. But after some cuttings and intensive care, I've got them in good condition again
  3. I think I get your point. I am guessing that clams might be able to take in some DOC and prevent them from breaking down into nutrients in our systems. This way, they indirectly help in a way to reduce nutrients but I reckon a skimmer would do a better job
  4. Thanks bro, a good example of successful propagation I am looking at getting another 2x54w T5 to balance out the yellow of the BLV 10k after I get the ozone. What do you guys think?
  5. Using clams IMO is not a very good way to reduce nitrates. Not only does it deplete the Ca and kH levels rapidly, it is also expensive to get so many clams too I would suggest you go for another method
  6. Just get the Mesoscope to see Would love to get one for myself if it had not cost so much
  7. Here's the original frag of the purple discosoma I posted
  8. Here's what is supposed to be an orange discosoma It has since splitted into 2
  9. Now for some softies Got this specimen as a single polyp which I fragged Now it is in the third generation
  10. Here's the hairy tenuis I have Growth rate not as spectacular as the tri colour but it did grow

  14. No la, not that amazing yet Still got some major stocking up to do
  15. Somehow the tips have become more of pinkish rather than purple The reefer I got this frag from was using 20kk lights with a nutrient filled tank
  16. Purple digitata when I first got it Purple digitata as of June 5th Same specimen as of now
  17. Last pic for the day My one and only brown colony Wonder if it'll ever colour up
  18. My purple digitata Too bad the polyps are brown though
  19. Here's the Walt Smith frag Its turning deep purple instead of a pastel colour
  20. I slowly used a small blade to do a clean cut and it just detached by itself Here's a shot of the tri colour tenuis in another angle
  21. And you can see how the monti cap had encrusted onto the rock and is growing downwards
  22. According to Anthony Calfo, niger triggers, pink tails and cross hatch are some of the more reef safe triggers Here's a pic of my all time favourite baby blue tip stag
  23. I recommend getting the FR and run rowa as soon as your tank is set up Really helps in algae control
