  1. Personally, I don't trust anything which looks like caulerpa They'll mature in about 3 months and when they become vegetative, they will develop some stringy filamentous stuff
  2. Haha I wanted to switch to an electric guitar cause I heard it's easier to play Well, I'm sticking with my classical now as I love the fingerpicking and I am saving up cash for my tank
  3. Haha yeah easier for us to reach in for frags too Yep he's using Phoenix 14k
  4. These guys are hard to frag They're the only kind of mushies which I don't have success with
  5. Ever thought of a hood for your tank? It looks kind of uneven without one Anyway, did your hyacinthus colour up? Mine's turning green with blue tips. Yours I believe have the potential of orange with pink polyps
  6. You put your zoos on the sandbed, how they spread?
  7. Just noticed the pocci had a little RTN at some places (3 to be exact) It's probably due to transportation (hope so) as their skeletons are rather fragile Hope it recovers soon!!
  8. Sand clumping is related to 2 things One is that of massive bacterial action in which they produce a crystalline substance out of glucose (if I'm not wrong) Another is of ionic imbalace causing precipitation on the sand and clumps them together And of course there's my own version which is that coralline grow on your sand till it clumps together
  9. Hmm what kind of language is that? Well anyway, nice blue tort pic you got there
  10. In that case, watch out for signs of too big an anaerobic region If next time you want to remove, it'll be a problem then
  11. I have thought of that but I doubt the LFS can take care of it However, I did tell those reefers who has got my harvest to share it with other reefers like what wedgee did recently
  12. Somehoe these sort of thing will get into your tank There's no escaping especially when you have a refugium where they can bloom
  13. I was looking at it in terms of doing our part to save reefs
  14. Yep, I noticed a certain species of white colour flatworms actually burrow into the sand so I might as well culture them too. Haven't seen one after I removed my sandbed
  15. Xenia has been documented to pump in systems where iodine is dosed and present
  16. You need creatures to burrow into the depths of sand so as to keep the oxygen levels at anoxic levels. I grew pods, bristleworms, microstars and flatworms as my main infauna and recharge every month
  17. Trust me, DSB is hard to maintain I had to grow my own infauna and finally gave up because I have lots of schoolwork and not enough time to grow them anymore But my DSB kept my nitrates real low though
  18. He has a MX 100 on his beckett if I have not remembered wrongly And have you considered your bill for running 3xMX100 Maybe you should think of using smaller pumps for returns instead
  19. Caulerpa had been known to release noxious substances when cut so as to "deter predation". Of course other macroalgae do produce such substances as well but caulerpa is more toxic. And a good point to take note is that they mature in 3 months so if they are not pruned, they will start their reproduction
  20. Yes I agree. For people like you who are busy, I doubt you can give it the proper time and maintainence
  21. I got them from Iwarna long time ago Has since split into 3 polyps
