  1. Thanks for the personal review cityofangels The V3i and V3x have improvments to the various cons of the V3 They have FM radio, expandable memory and such. Think I'll either have to wait for them to come out and hope they have a promotion to make the price lower than $200 or I just bear with my current phone
  2. Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting a new mobile phone to replace my current Sony Ericsson K508i as it is starting to lag. I'm looking at the Motorola V3 RAZR and I've seen it's specs. I know the main bane of this phone lies in the memory space and the camera but both are features that I do not really use that much. I'm also longing for a phone with FM radio and this is probably the only feature which I dislike about the V3 Furthermore, I heard that newer models, the V3i and the V3x are coming in a few months with added features and improvements from the V3. So should I wait for the V3i to be released or take the V3 for it's low price? And I'm looking for a phone under $200 so I'm not sure whether the newer models will exceed that
  3. It may work but not as well I've read that the bubbles tend to enlarge faster in FW than in saltwater and that may be he reason why it is not as effective
  4. I'm not using the same configuration as yours as I do not have a secondary chamber but here's what I think. There are many factors affecting the kH levels in your tank. Other than calcification of corals, the growing of macroalgae or precipitation would also affect kH levels. For macroalgae, uless you are growing them very aggresively, it should not impact kH that much and as for precipitation, look out for it in phosphate reactors or other parts of your tank. Instead of trying to buff up kH using additives, buff it up to the desired level and set your CR higher.
  5. Do note that turtle weeds are toxic
  6. Oh I meant dosing ozone I was initially considering hermits but put the idea down as I'll have to get shells for it when it grows big
  7. I never really like calling corals their common names but from what I know, frogspawns are called frogspawns because they look like them. But I get confused with true octos too because I thought they were just another name for a frogspawn. Are these two different species of corals?
  8. An update to this thread: My green algae is starting to thin out thanks to my janitor crew. And I've decided to stop using ozone as the tank looks just as healthy as when I am dosing. Finally, I'm quite amazed at the blue eye anthias as they had actually survived 3 days without feeding
  9. My regal had those around 3 times and recovered fully without any injuries. I feed my fishes Formula Two pellets which contain garlic so I think garlic helps in a way
  10. I change out a bucket per week Not sure how many % that is though
  11. Dunno whether the polyps of this piece will change colour or not but it looks nice either way
  12. Haha I am finally back from KL Went to KLCC to see their "Aquaria" aquarium All I can say is that the 90m long tunnel is quite an eye opener And it is the first time I saw sea cucumbers being squeezed by children and still not eviscerate And I also drove past Petaling Street but didn't stop to see as the place is crowded and rather dirty. Lastly, I went up to Genting but the experience there wasn't much of what I expected as it was raining and most rides are closed and those open ones are just crowded with visitors. I did enjoy walking through Ripley's Believe it or not! odditorium and I'll never forget the shrunken head and vampire slaying kit The traffic at KL is kind of dangerous for Singaporeans as the vehicles can just cut in and out of lanes. Not to mention getting "caught" by traffic police for not fastening seatbelt when the car just drove out of the parking lot. Yeah, the "fine" cost us RM25
  13. Just to add, the CR comes with an Ehiem pump and had recirculating features that allows maximum usage of CO2 to prevent wastage
  14. Haha, at least I'm playing my part
  15. Then I think the most important question here is "But could life on this planet survive without us" Yes, what you said is true to a certain extent that the various organisms do not care about other organisms. But if you think of it, without plants, nothing could survive Without birds and insects, flowering plants could not survive Without plankton, whales could not survive Without insects, giant redwood could not survive But can our world survive without us? What is our purpose? I find this campaign by www.OneEarth.org very meaningful and worth a thought
  16. Ok, that's in my programme Anything else?
  17. Haha that guy is still a baby Anyway, this is 2 months of growth from my hyacinthus Contrary to what people say that hyacinthus are difficult to keep, mine seems to grow like crazy Wonder what I added to make it like this?
  18. I'm going to KL tomorrow and since I've never been there before, I'd like to know if there is any "must see" places and things And of course if there are LFS there, I'd take a look too
  19. Selling my RM CR for $450 due to upgrading There is still more than half full of media in it The size of this guy can be seen in the picture. Everything is included and just plug and play with a CO2 tank PM me if you are interested
  20. The main concern with bioballs and ceramic rings being a nitrate factory is that it traps detritus and the detritus decomposes into nitrates. And considering that bioballs and ceramic rings are not easy to change frequently, many people advise to remove them.
  21. If you want to tone down the volume of your pump, try placing some sponge underneath it. Get those harder ones as those that are used for cleaning are too soft and the problem will still persist
  22. Tell Santa about it and maybe it'll come true
  23. Why are we here? It is perhaps the most important question we've ever asked, and possibly the most difficult to answer. Trees, as we know, produce oxygen. Birds and insects pollinate the plants that feed us. We know that some animals needs plants to survive, and some animals need animals. Giant whales couldn't survive without tiny plankton, giant redwoods couldn't survive without insects. But could life on this planet survive without us? What is our purpose? Why are we here? Maybe it's because of all the species that share this world, we're the only ones with the power to protect the entire planet. The only one with the power to protect every species on Earth. Every species is here for a purpose, and each of us has a part to play. www.OneEarth.org
