  1. No I meant after using it for some time, the part where the plastic folds when squeezed will crack along the seams.
  2. After some time the top part will crack and can't hold the suction due to air leak. I always buy 5 at one go for backup.
  3. chriscoral, how old are you really? I very much feel like you're the same age as that lamea$$ snoopy kid here. Tell me, whats the purpose of starting this thread? Creating stupid threads like 'mutant xenia', 'a matter of reliability' and this very one only shows how pathetic you really are.
  4. This thread rocks man... its almost reaching 10 yrs. Amjby you still into mushies huh...
  5. That is a TEM nano chiller that works the same as an ice probe. It is only good for tanks of small volume.
  6. Lack of light for that area could be the cause too.
  7. Flatworms. Siphon out as much as possible.
  8. Been following tidal gardens videos since they started... thanks for posting.
  9. Once you have successfully completed cycling, you do not need to routinely test for nitrites. Testing for nitrates would be more important.
  10. My advice is don't try it unless you know what you're doing.
  11. A generic guideline for coral temp is between 26-28deg. What coral do you plan to keep? Different types of corals have different temp requirements. As for nitrite, as long as your tank is cycled properly, it should remain at 0.
  12. Don't bother replying to such threads bro... next thing he might be asking is if marine tanks need salt.
  13. Care to share the dimensions for the 4ft? Will it be a shallow tank?
  14. Like what some other reefer mentioned, I would suggest you stop digging up outdated threads just to increase your post count.
  15. First of all, nothing wrong with newbies giving advice - as long as it is not incorrect or bad advice. Secondly look at how the question was asked. The thread title is misleading. How to expect people to reply? I believe a good response comes from how clear and specific the question was asked. To answer the question, remove as much xenia as you can and cover the remaining base with epoxy or super glue gel. For epoxy, be warned that it is toxic if used in large amounts, especially if your tank is small.
  16. No difference at all. Its just like finding out the mileage before buying a used car.
  17. What I meant was if he bought the unit brand new or purchased it second hand. Just want to be sure before comitting.
  18. Brand new or second hand? Is this the same dosing pump that you bought in Sept 2013? If it is the same pump, maybe can state the price you paid for it? Just asking to clear some doubts. Hope you don't mind.
  19. I still prefer your 2ft cube with its plating monticaps.... still can remember it till now.
  20. I wished my monti was invasive... what monti is that?
  21. Are the rocks already dead (dried) or still live?
  22. Last 3 crabs are non sps safe. Good pics, thanks for posting.
