vt_snowman, whats your secret to keeping these mushrooms and making them expand so big? Also, did you frag from the multi-coloured rock or just let it spread?

What brand of salt you use for your LPS???
Firestarter replied to angelfishlover's topic in LPS Coral forum
My experience with CoralLife is that its worse than RedSea salt. I'll never touch CoralLife again. Currently using TM. -
Why is it that whenever I wish to start netting the fishes that I want to buy, the person in charge will hand me the 'bucket' already filled with water meant to contain the netted fishes, but that bucket's water is not the same water as from the tank! Doesn't this shock the fishes even before you release them into your home tank? Hope someone can enlighten me with this issue.

Found a link that describes simply how it works, but I think there's still more to it. I'll still stick to a glass box though.

Sold to a nice reefer. Hope the frogspawn will make a speedy recovery.

I'm going to decom my tank due to busy workload I have 2 pieces of frogspawn for sale, each about 6-7 heads for $5 each. The catch is that they aren't really opening up, and I suspect they are sick due to my poor water conditions. But given the right conditions, I'm sure they'll be healthy again. Attached is 2 pics of the frogspawn. I will only be free tonight 8pm onwards, please sms me if interested at 96580411. Collection at Simei.

Hey Peace, great to see that you have upgraded! I've been too busy now and my tank has gone downhill since. Glad to see that you're doing well.

Clowntang and powder blue tang for sale

1. Picture not clear might as well not post in the first place. 2. You said it feeds on everything, then now you say it doesn't feed on pallets. If someone were to buy the fish before LemonLemon pointed it out, doesn't that make your sale a scam? 3. You sell your fishes for a high price, newbies here who are not sure of the prices will blindly pay for it. Is that your intention for all your sale threads? 4. When people ask questions about your thread, you almost never reply with the answer. You sound like a 15 year old kid trying hard to cash in on reefers here. Can I ask how old are you? -

Dont stop with the updates. Thanks! -
No problem, the mushroom is doing great! It has expanded really huge and its now awaiting transfer into my mushroom tank.
-
Yes I've thought of that, I plan to cool it with a PC fan. Just wait till my light rack is up haha.
-
The light house is actually a skimmer in disguise!

Hi, I've since passed the hammer to another reefer in hopes that he can save the coral.
-
Painted the wood with glossy black paint. It just finished drying, will continue with progress tomorrow.
-
Next DIY project: To DIY a light rack to share between the 2 tanks. Also to get proper lightings for my algae scrubber. 2 pieces of wood that I've kept long time ago in case I had to use it for another DIY light project. Turned out that I was right.
-
The tank will be standalone, and not connected to the main tank. However lighting poses a problem. I bought a 2ft DIY T5 kit from DE. The lightset will be shared with the main tank and mushroom tank. Here's the current situation of my lighting now.
-
Some updates. Having problems with my mushroom corals, I decided to get myself a small 1ft tank, specially for keeping mushroom corals.

Selling PBT and Sailfin tang

Just how old is the thread starter really? -
I'll never trust curved edges or bowfront tanks, glass or acrylic. Just an opinion.

Hi lemon, the hammer is already white when I bought it few months ago. It has been doing fine until recently I noticed that the right side is expanding lesser and lesser day by day. There is some algae on the skeleton. Should I brush it with a toothbrush? Afraid it'll just stress it more. So do you think its confirm up lorry? Any way to save it? Its the first hammer I got, very sad to see it like this.
-
Any idea what causes the hammer coral to be like that?
-
Here's a moonlight shot of my tank, the light coming from my algae scrubber located in the overflow.
-
Another shot of the hammer. My other hammer and frogspawn is doing fine. I have no idea what happened to this hammer. I'm willing to pass this hammer to anyone who can help nurse it back to health, as I'm afraid it'll only get worse.
-
Did a major rescape few days ago. Kind of regretted doing that, because now most of my corals are not doing well after the shift. Here's my tank currently now. Note the white hammer on the right is half expanded.
