  1. It has been a week since I dipped the mushrooms in FW. Still no signs of recovery, even though the mushrooms have not melted. Any experts here to comment on whether they can survive?
  2. Some updates.. Bought some blue mushrooms and a rock of star polyp. I cut out some star polyp and placed it on another LR for it to propagate. But during the weekend it fell off the rock and nicely attached itself onto the tank base. Hopefully it will grow and fill up the bottom. My blue mushies... not doing well after a FW dip to get rid of flatworms. They have been like that for a week. Only 1 head seems to be doing fine. And lastly, a pic of my star polyps. I hope they will turn green after some TLC.
  3. Just to let you know that I've started an office pico because of your thread!
  4. Thanks for the tip! Tank temp when aircon is on is 24'C. At night it shoots up to 26'C. Will add a fan to see how it goes.
  5. Every morning when I reach the office, the mushrooms seem to have its guts out. The weird thing is that the guts are not from the mouth, but rather from the sides or foot of the mushroom. Over the day the guts will retract / spew again.
  6. Do you think they will pull through? Anyone had experienced this before?
  7. The white guts have retracted. Here's a pic of them now. Anyone managed to get their mushrooms expand back from this before?
  8. Read that the most effective way to remove flatworms is to do a FW dip. I've since moved the rock to a shady area.. the white guts are lesser but they are still shriveled up. Keeping my fingers crossed.
  9. My GSP bought yesterday as well opened immediately in DT once the lights were on. Hope my mushrooms survive.
  10. I got a small rock of blue mushrooms (5 heads) yesterday. Found that they have flatworms on them, so 2 hrs after putting them in my DT, I took the rock out and dipped it in distilled water for 2 mins. Flatworms are gone but 2 of the heads started spitting out its guts after that, but did not retract them even after an hour. This morning I found the 2 heads with guts from its side sticking out (not the mouth). Do you think my mushrooms will survive? First time doing a FW dip on mushrooms.
  11. Awesome tank! I really love your mushrooms. Care to share some frags?
  12. Getting the 'slug' to feed will be the greatest challenge. Most nudibranch have specific diets.
  13. Dude, either do some research on how to keep marine fish or not keep them at all.
  14. What is the dimension of the pump, and also the cost?
  15. Came back to office this morning and was surprised to find white specks floating in the water. Turned off the HOB and saw that they were live and swimming... it resembles a mosquito larvae and it has a tail. I'm suspecting it could be baby brine shrimp or some pods that hatched?
  16. Wad lights are you using? Does the LED lightset come with blue bulbs?
  17. Here are the specs for the pump: Boyu SP-601 Volt 115V Freq 50/60Hz Power 6W Flow 200L/h Weight 0.14kg Size 47.5 x 43 x 57.5 mm
  18. Just bought some LR and have some apista looking stuff on it. Now I have apista before and I know how it looks like. But the stuff I have now do not retract quickly when touched, just like how a zoo polyp would retract when being touched. So is this still apista or some relative of it?
  19. Just placed the pump into my tank. Really disappointed as it was not as powerful as expected. More suitable for smaller tanks, 2-3 gallons perhaps.
  20. Went to buy a small pump for circulation. Its a Boyu SP-601. Here is a pic of the pump with comparison with a AA battery. Really good for small tanks. Have yet to run it though.
