Have you tried turning off your return pump and see if your sump floods? Seems like your return pipe is kinda low. Also, can you take a pic of the return pipe? Its blocked by the overflow box. Also, your overflow box could be smaller to save on space.

I'm glad this discussion opened up a new step towards tank dosing. To all skeptics, here's what I have to say. 10 years ago, mention about adding vodka into the tank and people will snigger at what a smug you are. And 10 years later, people are doing it like the norm; and it works! Don't be too quick to dismiss something that might seem insane - fail or succeed, its all part of learning in reefing.

I think its too soon to tell if milk has an effect yet. Also, someone mentioned to dose only soya milk or milk that has low sugar. I'm not sure if the milk you're using is correct.

SCWD is old school technology. Its like using a Seio wavemaker or Weipro skimmer. I don't think anyone uses SCWD anymore. You're better off doing without it and using a Vortech / Tunze wavemaker instead.

I think Hugo mentioned to start dosing milk only after clearing all algae issues. You are one brave reefer! Maybe you can start dosing small like 2ml daily for a week and see how it goes. Do remember to update!

4ml might be too much I think for a 2ft cube...? Await your updates soon.
