  1. eh nice! im sure the Kole is feeding by now? I believe by tomorrow, it should be cleaning the LRs. yah, i guess that's why i need an oversize skimmer! hahaha... Eh, thanks for ur help earlier bro! really appreciate it. Btw: i've transferred the $$ before i started posting... wanted to SMS u, but it's after midnight liao... not v. nice... You know, i almost thought the neon committed suicide. I couldn't find it after i returned home. Then i realised it found itself a home at the base rock at the rear corner of the tank. SMart chap!
  2. oh well... since it's end of the month... might as well do a FTS... (more of a right-side tank view - but that'll do for now) Somehow feel like something is missing...
  3. almost everyone's favourite... Zoas.... here are some (some from prev reborn and there's one... heheh... i think it's not very common) there're a few more, but didnt have time to capture all... that's all for tonight.
  4. yo yo... the pix are nice, coz of the macro lens. took a lot earlier today, but alot are blur, didnt use the tripod... can't find the bloody attachment! so gotta based on best effort... thanks for the compliments though.
  5. not very impossible bro... the price tag is a little too high for me to swallow. But i really like them after seeing Jeremy's. New love is the neon goby, but it's practically hiding... like the yellow clown goby. Btw, ah beng may have the green one (thought there could be 1 there, but im not sure, if i drop by, i'll get for you??)
  6. Softies - light cyan yuma - multi-coloured yuma *50c size Never had good luck with yumas... hope these survive (new placement - med light with low consistent flow) - the usual suspects Rics *big big polyp *looks like this one is stress *yellow and speckled (i like)
  7. LPS - Aussie pink hammer (CF) - Duncan (CF) - Super Sun (LCK) ex-stock (looks almost like bleached... must take good care of this healthy piece) still looking for true octo/torch...
  8. bought a few fish as well (only managed to take 1 decent shot) - yellow clown goby (AquaMarin) - Kole Tang (LCK) - Neon Goby (LCK) - Royal Gamma (LCK) - Blue Assessor (Yah right... in my dreams! so tempted to buy that... but it's really ex for such a small fish) Only managed a shot of the RG...
  9. Took a few shots of the new purchases during the past few days. Just as a photo-log, so can remember when i got them... Some are pretty much what i used to have before Murphy's visit. Pink mouth with lime green tentacles plate (Jacky, yours are somewhat slightly smaller in size - hope u dun mind)
  10. hmmm... very nice FTS... i decided not to post mine already... hahaha. now waiting for Ray's new FTS.
  11. Okies. No prob. Let me know. Have a goof week everyone. Mine starts tomorrow as I'm on leave today.
  12. looking at the first few photos, I already know what to take when I raid ur tank! Tsk tsk. The mandarin orange and PD are must haves!!! Gosh, you guys have so many nice stuff, I'm jealous! Oh if u are dropping by Cedric's, pls come over to my place and collect the plates. I'm only 3mins drive away from him. btw, I frag some mushroom out last night, if the colour holds up, one of them is yours too. The rest I'll put on exchange/sell.
  13. Yeah. Dun need Photoshop lah. Just natural is best. I'm also trying to find some time to take pictures of my latest acquisitions. Been too busy. Just now spent an hour fragging some corals and sticking them on pebbles and frag plugs. Will try to take and share pic of the plate tmrw. In the mean time, show more corals pic pls. I like the Yuma too. I got myself one today. Light blue coloured. Yummy. Hope it last. I dun have luck with yumas. The placement mine looks promising. Low flow with moderate light. The flow is so low that I think it's a relatively dead spot. Just checked before lights off, Yuma settled down and in the midst of opening up. Btw: haven't seen Peter for awhile k. He must be really busy?!?
  14. WOW! this i like... and nice macro shot too!
  15. ah... so this is from CF... guessed so... there're so many left when i was there last Friday. So nice, but the price proved to be too steep for my wife's liking (and i felt it was a little too high as well). For me, i'm half-rebuilding the tank... re-stocking as half of my stuff died while i was out of town. Just did some shopping over the long weekend as well... enjoying the shopping part alot! next time if i go CF, will give u a call too, we can all go together.
  16. I feel so guilty! Sorry Jacky. Btw: nice scape! Maybe next weekend I can arrange for my family to drop by and visit yours? Can pass u the plates too. Will post their pix later on my thread.
  17. Agree. Duncans are pretty hardy and grows fast. Which probably explains it's price tag.
  18. Yup. You can place on sand bed too. I place mine on lr. Btw nice duncans!!! I like the colours. Just curious, Duncan also place on sandbed?
  19. yes should just start right away. Dun wait, dun procrastinate! Anyway hope ur main tank is okie. Save a small space for the plate k.
  20. bro.. u been to CF lately? they've got some really top grade Acans... price also top grade... anyway, nice acans. seems like u are enjoying the fun part now... shoppping...
  21. are you going to have chiller/skimmer for QT(oyogo)?
  22. yes, of coz! the rescape was becoz i want to go into SPS. If i dun go to SPS now, all these efforts would be in vain! currently only has 2 pcs... will slowly stock up, coz my tank has phosphate problem. lots of algae. Prefer to buy small frags now, so can see the growth and monitor them. will also be hooking up the CR soon. btw: lets not OT on Jacky's daughter's tank thread... hehe
  23. hey you confirm going cf? I'm planning to bring my wife and kid to lim chu kang tmrw for some fresh air. Enroute to cf and lck too. Let me know so I can bring the plates.
  24. speaking of how our better half's thoughts and reactions. Sometimes I wonder, this hobby teaches us patience and responsibilities. True, it takes time and costs $$. But in life, this is true isn't it?? In order to achieve the long term goal(s), patience is required! You need to spend time and sometimes $ along the way. responsibilty to maintain and take care of it. If it doesn't cost much, or comes by too easily, one tends to value or appreciate it lesser. (this is a broad stroke statement but very true in many instances) What matters most eventually, is when u see the achievement as corals propogate and a little piece of the ocean prospers in ur living room or whatever room it is in. So, what exactly are they complaining when we are cultivating our life values or our future generation's??? I am facing the same problem as you Jacky! Maybe we just need to sell this better to our better halves.
