yo amby bro... i'm not sure if i wanna 'breed' them leh... let's review ur checklist... 1 spare tank - check (1 ft tank boleh?? HOB filter with surface skimmer ok?? 1 spare air pump - NIL 1 X led torchlight - Check (for what ah???) 1 X phytoplankton - half check (bottle type boleh?? oyster egg can? the live pods recently bought from AM can?) some yummylicious food to supplement the female nemo - check, how yummylicious?? i've got henry's, mysis, live pods, NLS pellets, frozen cyclopeeze... what else what else?? Hope u dun overslpt on the 7th day. - oh... this one, problem! do they hatch in the day or night?? or should i take leave next friday?? haha... i believe this piece of LR is a branch which only has a bubble 'placed' at the top, should be easily removable. Problem is, the bubble is their home, once i remove the LR, dunno where to place the bubble.

Thanks for the +ve ID Bro Terryz, very happy to see those eggs man... no wonder... now i recall the percs being territorial recently, also remember the smaller of the perc kept 'shaking/jerking' its body a few days/weeks back. Only saw the eggs this morning when i was looking at that piece of rock, while planning for rescape. So dun really know how many more days to hatching... should i even stay and watch?? Is anyone able to advice if these 'companions' will be threat to the fries? Percs' companions: 1) Atlantic blue tang 2) Kole Tang 3) Leopard Wrasse 4) Cleaner Wrasse 5) Royal Gamma 6) Cardinal - spotted 7) Pipe fish 8) Mandarin Or should i let the circle of life take over??
-
I am finding this a little spooky, last week, you guys talked about bro Eniram's percs 'in the heat'... and by some strange coincidence... this is my saturday morning surprise... True Percs eggs?? looks like it... got chance to hatch them?? (anyone?)

yes, u r next! in fact, i think the radioactive is doing quite well in ur tank right?? and the monti scroll too. and CR?? dun need lah, coraline algae growing so well in ur tank. hahaha. besides, who needs to put the CR inside the cabinet when u have the entire balcony to play with??
-
justin, invert the tube. i.e. with the syringe outlet (the hole) pointing to the sky. look at the reading at the highest level of the black portion. u also salifert user?? can see if my test kit is same as urs? (in my earlier post)

the answer is out. i am wrong... we have a new winner... Mossrope this time! KH swing way up to 12dKH! amazing... not sure if its becoz i added 3 drops instead of 2... but i'm still wondering, is there something missing from my test kit... will take a picture of post the 2 bottles later. gotta go pick up some SPS from the rocks... some stooopig fish (or inverts) swipe 2 SPS that fell from the rocks... boring.

I don't think there'll be any major change. Will be home soon, results will be out in 30mins.

Jail the irresponsible Romanian envoy!

haha. Not my intention to scare anyone but to share what I know. There are lots of web tools nicked "listening post" that can track certain keywords and the frequency that they are mentioned. And many other functions. The report that they generate, u cannot imagine. And these tools are inexpensive. Those in the Internet industry probably know more than I do. And I am definitely one of those "kopitiam" critic too. u dun wanna get me started on this topic. Jacky, I owe you 1 kopi, so next time we meet, we can talk more. -

Guys. I'm playing devil's advocate here. Let's try not to go off topic on this. And besides this being a marine forum, let's keep it less political. Remember it's all about being responsible for ur comments. In today's technology, it's not difficult to "search" some sensitive words on the Internet. One wrong word/sentence could result in admin having to release ur personal particulars (inlcuding ip addy). Just my $2 worth (forgot to bring coins today). If anything, we can keep these chats to a contained environment. -
another test about 1 week + after using biopellets. Ca: 400 (no change) - dose one round of calcium, kinda figured the Calcium consumption already. Mg: 900 (no change) - apparently Mg consumption in my tank is very high! kh: not measured. Po4: 0.03 (dropped tremendously!) no3: no measured. approx 1 week into using biopellets. Note: Removal of Sorb4 + Carbon was done on the same day Biopellets were introduced... Bad move! It caused some strange reaction in the tank, as some LPS were apparently affected. Whole rock of blue xenia disintegrated. Guess must give Biopellets some time to 'kick-in'. Fortunately no major damages.

thanks Joe, apparently this piece was from iwarna (not the latest shipment actually - left over, and on sale in one of the show tanks).
-

How's your garden leave so far?? camping in iwarna all day long??? got ho liao must sms me k... bro... i can help u take care of ur superman if you want... haha... the pokestar polyps are opening up so much that it's covering up the blue lines now. haha.

hmmm. But I've been on 1.022-1.024 for the longest time. Maybe that's why my true octos all die?? Thanks onizuka.
-
Desi, I'm no expert with fish, but I hear that if you keep the Sg slightly lower, I.e. Hyposalinity, you can help them to reduce their stress. I dunno how true, but somehow it works for some. How abt trying 1.022? Ur parameters look good except for no3. How are some of the sps doing?? If they brown out, I guess u know where to fix. Do u also clean ur skimmer regularly? Especially if u do heavy feeding. A cleaner skimmer neck improves it's efficiency. Hth.

A couple of new purchases... Bro Mossrope, this is the piece i was telling u abt... blue/purple monti with blue polyps (not sure if u can see the polyps clearly). had fragged out 2 pieces, 1 is placed on a frag plug together with a chilli-pepper frag... hope they will fuse together...
-
More good stuff! To those who love to try sps for first time, do contact Cedric. It's not just frags that u're buying. But also his advice. I'm one repeat customer. Upz for u bro.
