  1. 2 handful of chaetos to give.. (as above) to 2 individuals... Self-collect at bedok reservoir road, and bring ur own bags please. (by tonight pls) If you can bring along a small bottle of minute maid orange pulp drink, I'll greatly appreciate. If not its ok... Pm ur interest...
  2. *whistle whistle* This is beautiful! Nice staghorns. Today's shipment??
  3. Thanks for ur kind words. I just happened to share only the nice pix. Hahaha. I also learnt it the hard way.. Suffered several setbacks along the way. SPS is really the dark side of reefing. But the rewards (not about $$) are also there. My thoughts on stability, it'll get better with time and discipline. No much secret actually. Hope to see more pix. Chillers in my mind is important to keep temp constant/stable. It's quite a power sucker though.
  4. You! Wah. Thought u disappeared Liao. Sadly no FTS yet. Cos main tank has 2 frag racks. Can't get a decent shot. Planning a minor re-scape in late December to add more rock space. Should be able to get rid of the racks then. So when can we tiger time at the "clinic"???
  5. Jack, always an inspiration! Must visit u again soon.
  6. Just glad to keep them alive and colored up. So long they don't become kit-kat, im happy le. And your frag is still waiting for you to collect.
  7. wah.. ur eyes very sharp! yes, there're a few (purple BN and yellow polyp valida) has such the problem u just mentioned. They are as a result of 'coral war'... Too lazy to snip of the dead ends, some have algae... but so far ok lah. It has not spread, so i just leave it. Some are recovering and new growth are growing over the 'burnt'+algae tips already..
  8. yah, i guess like some experts said, it could be the coral itself... do try to frag out the tips, sometimes the tips can grow out... i recently had a SPS STN, but before it died, i fragged out the tip, and it's still surviving.
  9. Some Millies to end the night... 1st SPS colony - Ultra Lime Green Millie - super long tentacles (my favourite piece!) Sunset Millie (i think so) - needs more light I think this is a prostrata - Jade green body with blue polyps (i think this is pretty hard to come by) pink millie That's all for today folks... time to hit the sack... good night Singapore...
  10. Somemore dunno what... bi-color dunno what - WS shipment... almost impossible to keep the original colouration tenuis? another type of tenuis? blue humilis? - also WS, the blue is not so obvious now, but slowly coming back after changing to new tubes.
  11. Some more pix for tonight... I'm pretty sure these are all birdnest... but i surely dunno scientific names. Yellow BN (with purple polyps) Radioactive BN (my first SPS! Thanks Cedric for pulling me into the 'dark' side of reefing) Pink BN with blue polyps (pointed tip) Dark Pink/Purple BN (round tip) BOP??
  12. trigger happy last night lah, tried to take stock of what i have... always good to retain some memories. yes bro, u are right, the blue digi has coloured up quite a bit... These are some frags that i accidently broke during shifting of the main piece. still learning how to maintain a SPS tank really. everyday is a new challenge... has your sps stabilised after the recent episode? I took a pic of the birdnest (though not very good shot, will share shortly) Looking forward to help you take care of the BOP (i'll surely frag one small part as caretaker's gift). hahaha... Thanks for your kind words... looking forward to see your tank in person actually. Thanks Allan... glad u like it. Still trying really... one day, i hope my monti will grow into something like yours! btw, the so-called 3rd pocci, i think should be a pink stylo instead... learning names/genus of SPS takes some time.
  13. Haha. With the number of people in queue. There's no reason anyone should ask for discount. Just go to the next in line... (I'm 2nd in line for everything I wanted. Sigh)
  14. Very nice piece of monti cap you got bro! Natural looking reef.
  15. Thumbs up bro! Very open and transparent! Good luck for ur decomm sales.
  16. ultra slow connection tonight... having lots of connection issue... will continue uploading another day... ending the nite with one of fav shot of the day... This should be some acro species, but dunno the name...
  17. Dear buddies... got a little trigger happy today, and started to take pix of some more SPS. I'll attempt to share them based on their 'similarity'... Please feel free to correct should i classify them wrongly... Valida (i think they are right?)
  18. Woah. Bro, that is a nice piece! I just hope my humilis colours up again.
  19. Hey bro, I figured ur tank should be up by now? U have some goodies with me still... Don't forget to come and collect. Hahaha.. The green Millie got sentimental value, as it's my first sps colony. And its so stable now. So far only been giving it or exchange... See how lah, maybe will frag smaller sizes for sale later. :ThanxSmiley: Nice to have met u bro... Hope u like the P.O. Thanks for the advice on the scaping, will reconsider again whether i should add more rocks... Hope to admire ur setup soon.
  20. Thanks for ur kind words bro... Its a lot easier with guidance. Am equally glad to see the sps thriving and growing fast. Indeed indeed...
  21. Ah. Salinity of 1.030 could be a little too high. If u can, try to drop it to 1.022 (if not much corals)... Preferably gradually over a few days... You can save some power bills by upping ur temp to 27 degrees. Did u acclimitise the new fish before releasing into main tank? E.g. Place the bag in ur tank for awhile (20-30mins), I usually do 30-45 mins... And the whole slew of dripping tank water slowly etc etc? The fish could be still in shock especially if there are other aggressive and established fish... Just my 2 cents... For the moment, try to reduce photoperiod, and get salinity lowered.. Hope it helps...
