  1. Dunno leh. It seemed to look brighter. Sure exchange sounds good. But not so soon bro. Very busy lately.
  2. Seems like you collected some new stuff?? Btw is this taken with the new lighting??
  3. What are your NH3, NO2, NO3 and salinity readings?
  4. Bro, why don't get 1st hand from Iwarna? It's not that expensive you know.. I highly doubt u r going to get a 2nd hand at half price..
  5. Yup. Have your number. Will text you when I end work tmrw bro.
  6. Yo Vincent bro. Apologies for not collecting the frag earlier. If my work ends early tmrw, I'll make a trip to woodlands before heading home. Btw if u intend to "save" part of the pink birdnest let me know k? I realize I don't have a hot pink BN.
  7. This deserves a +1... Technically speaking, if one does sufficient WC daily (with exact replacement of ca/kh/Mg, I think there's no need for skimmer, CR, dosing whateva... Jut chaeto and other macro algae could suffice. How many of us can do that daily??? I know I can't, thus have to rely on equipment to "automate" for me. If I could, my next setup, I'll definitely ensure WC is as effortless as possible.
  8. Awesome!!! Truly amazing! Beautiful corals, nice scape, neat carpentry work. I'm sure the CFO is starting to enjoy the hobby too? Really must find time to see it personally.
  9. Yo dr evil. Can pm me the price for 4 channel extension pls? I'm quite keen to get if the price is right.
  10. You are really good with gonio bro!
  11. Hmmm lights alone may not work (unless you do a total black out for few days?) I've not tried before..
  12. 1) When u do your water change, pls use DI water. It'll help (a lot). 2) siphon out the red slime (not just the water) when u change water. 3) repeat this once a day or once every 2 days (as much as your back can take). 4) increase the flow in the tank (especially where the red slime is found) I suffered from this for awhile, almost gave up. But the above did the magic for me, after about 2 weeks or so.. P/s: reducing photoperiod helps too (but I can't lower too much due to SPS) Hope it helps you bro.
  13. I itchy hand today. Bought a blenny from AM. Still trying to figure out what blenny. Hahaha.
  14. Thanks for the offer bro. Just a 4 channel one will do. Don't want you to pay gst. (purchase over $400).
  15. I'm keen to explore the 4 channels too. Hehe. Use it for auto top off. Plus all the other Addictives.
  16. Wah bro. You also get to go QD?? Issit too much to tompang the 4 channel add-on for me?? Hehe. Darren: good writeup man! I can never do this kinda review. It's so far been serving me well (since aug 2010). No complains actually.
  17. Try measuring your calcium and magnesium. That should give you some indication. Salinity, IMHO, doesn't as much as the 2 prior mentioned parameters.
  18. Nice updates Darren! Beautiful corals and great shots... Keep the pics coming...
  19. Haha. Wah piang.. Can you like frag into 4 pieces at 1 go? Muahaha. joking joking. All the best and hope your experiment is successful! HUAT ah!
  20. I'm keeping mine at 26-27. Am thinking of lowering to 25.5 - 26.5.
  21. Good experiment. Can I take a queue number first? For frags of your pink gonio?? Hahaha.
  22. Try to keep constant within 1 degree Celsius if you can.. It's highly recommended to keep temp as constant as possible. That said, 26-28 is considered acceptable in most cases. Is there any issue with your current temp settings?
  23. Wah well done. So how do u cut it?? From top or bottom bro? Need to follow any skeletonal lines? Do you use any iodide after the operation? I read from somewhere that it helps the corals to stabilize better (zoas too).. Please do update the status on this thread yeah? And yes... HUAT AH!!!
