  1. Awesome! Will pay u a visit this weekend bro. SMS u to arrange.
  2. Suggest to test it over a pail of fresh water instead of the tank itself. Chiller, especially new, seldom will leak.
  3. The undata is a very nice piece with purple rim and white polyps! I bought a small frag from jack a few months back and it's encrusting well. Very good price for such a big colony. Anyone wants to share the tonga blue polyps monti? I only need 2 small frags of 2"x2".
  4. Hey Jeremy, do you think it can be improved by: 1) place the inlet and outlet apart on opposite ends? 2) add a filter/net at the outlet to prevent chaeto/algae from back-flowing. Btw what kind of macroalgae do u put inside? Super idea... I'm thinking of doing one for my tank too. perhaps recycle some spare parts.
  5. Very skillful macro shots and colorful corals. Keep the pix coming.
  6. Well done Jeremy! With this, do you still use the algae scrubber?
  7. +1 for TS. Do u know if this will work for green slime algae? I'm battling a small quantity of these in my tank now.
  8. Hi G. OPrime. I'm not too familiar with aquamedic products and can't get much information about this skimmer online. Seems. Like quite a dated model? While this may cost somewhat cheaper, I would suggest for a trial and tested brand/model. Since u r already spending so much, what's that couple of hundreds more for a "sure-work" brand? Btw: Have you seen the skimmer in operation here so far? That could help you decide.
  9. Interesting choice of skimmer. Can share why this, and not the more popular deltec or skimz?
  10. Yup. I tried the normal placement and it kinda got too warm for my liking. Btw my cabinet is similar to yours, separate chiller compartment. The fan sucks out hot air alot slower than the chiller expels. Chiller compartment is usually feels like sauna. That said, I now leave my chiller cabinet door open nowadays and train my kid to avoid going there. (placing a fake lizard nearby accelerates the "training".)
  11. Setting up is definitely right up the list, shopping for corals and fish... Wooo that's an addiction that needs weekly fix! Agree with the comments on the chiller. What I did was to reverse the chiller. Ie hot air blows out of the cabinet and fixed a fan inside to blow ambient air in.
  12. Exciting start! Keep the updates coming..
  13. Selling tunze nano wavebox - still running in tank. Age: just over 1 yr. Wavebox is well encrusted with coraline algae. Full package, comes with box. Selling due to changing to mp40. Asking $250. Will throw in few polyps of (tank grown) radioactive green or eagle eye zoas if deal this weekend! Pm to indicate interest.
  14. The springeri bro. I like the electric blue. Super striking colours. But surely gone by the time I go. Haha.
  15. Cool. Peaceful damsel! Thanks for the recommendation lemon.
  16. Upz for a good deal, Good equipment at a steal. For Tangs, SPS or eels, With this light they will all love you. Muahaha.
  17. Nicely done without chiller bro. Red skirt black face zoas look good. Some red digitata to break the purple/blue/green perhaps?
  18. Hi OPrime, 1. We dont get condensation on the tank What temp do u intend to set for the tank? 20degrees? Highly doubt this will happen if the desired temp is ard 27/28. 2. Electricity consumption is lower It's probably true only if u currently already switch on aircon during the day whether there's anyone home. Else not sure why will it be lower consumption?? 3. The whole family benefits from the cool air besides our beloved fishy wishies and coral. Sure, if the family is around the tank during the day. . Btw you can turn off the aircon at night when temp is cooler. Just remember to switch it back on (Esp when u r not around) 4. No noise and heat emissions from the chiller For a tank of ur size(7ft), use condenser with drop-in coil. Condenser can be placed somewhere outside like a balcony/patio, together with the other condensers. These said, if ur tank/sump is not housed in a fullly enclosed cabinet, then ambient aircon would probably sound wise. Fans maybe required if using MH. Question is: are you/family ready to deal with the stray lights and exposed equipment? The idea of using a chiller/condenser/aircon is to keep water temp as constant as possible with minimal fluctuations. If you can enjoy the cool air while the fish/corals enjoy the cool water at the same time, why not? Some food for thought... good luck in ur tank build. Read up reef central if you have some time, they have some really brilliant builds.
  19. No issues guys, no offense yeah, just seeking clarifications... Good luck for ur auction... Upz!
  20. Upz for the seller.. But just a question... Is change of date allowed after auction has started? See buy/sell auction rules, part 2) Rules for seller, point a).
  21. Good luck for your sales bro. Hope you come back soon. With a bigger tank next time.
  22. Reserved. Pending collection tonight. Thanks for the enquiries.
