Back to my RBTA, resorted to place a mirror just below the cave, to make sure that it's really hanging upside down (luckily it is). Funny thing is that, now my mandarin/candy hog/clown use it as a mirror... Mandarin really thinks that there's some stranger there, he practically spends all his time looking at his own reflection and flaring it's fin. I call it mirror mirror on the floor.

Cool!!! how i envy you, can see the Rose BTA (and can see it grow)... mine is now truly hidden in the cave... spent so much, yet dun even see it at all! Like your bubble also, if you intend to sell, can let me know?? (or better still, where did you buy it ah? can pm me the price also?
-
Abit siao also i think... But really quite shiok... recently just went for tuning again, now sounds a bit more dynamic. How do you actually DIY soundproof the door? Gotta spend a lot of time dismantling and re-assembling... which im lousy at... surely some parts will either go missing or cannot fix back.
-
hahaha... i wish i can say M3... but it's more of a Mz3.
-
Thanks bro. Wah... you seriously target feed everyday? no wonder it grown 2-3 times the size. I'll try to target feed it over the weekend.
-
Bro, beats me man!?!? I'm totally lost. And you know what's even more strange??? The other purple tip anemone that i have... shifted into another cave during the time when i was away. That location, super low flow, super no lights... The only good news is that it's still doing well, as the clowns are hosting it. I'm considering plucking out the RBTA from the cave, but seriously, unless i have ultra long arms or do a major rescape, i really dunno how to remove it.
-
Managed to find the RBTA! It's located within the cave. But strangely, it got itself rooted upsidedown and well hidden inside the cave. I can just barely see it's red tentacles from the cave entrance. Just hope it'll be there to recover, once okie, it'll come out... Since it's stuck inside the cave of the base rock, i reckon there'll be no way to remove it.

Just curious if there are other fellow bro/sis who are into car audio? Hopefully can find some like-minded fans here to share experience/tips/pointers... To start the ball rolling, i'll share my humble set up... definitely... im planning to take over a K2, from sunny (whom i bought my tank). am going to start small, maybe a frag or two... if that's okie, then i'll upgrade. thats when i'll fire up the CR thats idling...
-
okie okie! i'll plan to go gown within these few nights. seems like you have everything i plan to get sia! (i want SPS also!!!)
-
to each his own ah... there're quite a lot of big tanks on sale lately.
-
yah, thats why tonight die die must find the RBTA! but i believed usually for the first 1-2 days, it will usually try to find it's 'G' spot. Once rooted, think it should be okie liao... See whether my skimmate got additional red colour or not... hahaha. But thanks bro, will monitor closer for the next couple of nights when im home.
-
wah... very nice... if it's red colour, i would be first to grab liao.
-
i placed it there. afterwards, it moved itself into the cave on the right. this morning, when i woke up, it's nowhere to be found... hopefully it's still alive... somewhere. with this new arrangement, there're more space above the zoas slope. Hmm... what should i get? What i have in mind is: 1) bubble - cateye 2) true octo 3) any other recommendations?

Saw this from another thread... http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...c=68534&hl=

Felt a little bored, so thought i'll do a little rearrangements of the corals... So grouped all the zoas to the right... all mushies to the left. Also, managed to find a piece of RBTA... though not in very good condition, so will have to slowly nuture it to good health... As you would notice, most of the corals are still 'shy', coz photo was taken 30mins after relocation. Will take another shot tomorrow once they settle down. So here's the new FTS - 17 March 2008 The new left slope - mushies and more (mostly green/orange yumas, normal ones lah, though would love to get some rics, but too ex, too ex... The new right slope - zoas and more (only one worth mentioning is the red ones at the top right corner. Though the pink ones are slowly gaining back it's colour) The latest addition - Red Bubble Tip Anemone Any comments(+ve or -ve) would be nice.

hai, dun remind me... that day spent so much money in one single day... cannot tahan liao. on the contrary, should have just taken it! Now waste too much time travelling up and down. Thanks for the compliment... it looks clean coz i've got really nice cleaning crew. 1 turbo snail - nothing on glass to eat, now he's running all over the zoas on LRs. 1 blue legged hermit.... eats a lot of trash, but toppling a lot of corals too... just a matter of time before i throw it into the sump tank. btw, i'll try to arrange either to ask my friend to pick up the K2 from u or i'll drive down one of these evenings.
-
The one you pass me is on the sand bed. The bigger one on LR is from a fellow reefer. Nice piece also, green tip with purple mouth. I think target feeding the thing helps. I fed it with prawn meat twice a day (before my trip). When i came back, i'm shocked (pleasantly) by the growth. should have taken a picture that day when you pass to me... then can document the growth! shitz. Thanks for the nice piece! *sorry cant meet tonight, got a very last minute meeting that i need to attend.

FTS - 16 March 2008 Did some major spring-cleaning of the tank equipment after 2 weeks of holidays. 1) Removed all pumps/circulation pumps for washing... all thoroughly cleaned, scrubbed every part with toothbrush, inside and out. 2) Skimmer totally cleaned and washed (with toothbrush no less) 3) 25l water change (approx 10%) 4) Remove a dead anthias this afternoon (sad: my first casualty of this new beginning) 5) Still in the plans, catching the candy hog!!! Next plan: to do up zoas hill on the right, mushies hill on the left. Trying to find some nice specimens of bubble (got red ones??) + any red based corals...
-
I've taken some shots, but nothing worth updating... everything is pretty much status quo. except that irritating candy hog is bullying everything smaller than him... nowadays even fight with the purple firefish for food. In progress of getting a betta box to trap it. This candy hog MUST be removed! Somehow feel bored of the current rockscape, (though it looks nice), im considering of doing a rescape... bro, will u by any chance to going down to town? i can arrange to pick up that K2 from u... should have just took it that day man! hahaha.
-
WHERE WHERE WHERE??? Can PM me which LFS you got them from and price indication?
-
looking good. like the colours of ur SPS. can share how much/where u got them (PM?) coz i'm also planning to try some... just to 'test water'. Very good idea of connecting both tanks to one sump. (i'm also having some strange thoughts of building 3 tanks connected to 1 sump.) haha... The 40G tank seems to have a lot of new additions (compared to ur old ones) just a little concern abt the 40G tank stand... not sure if it can hold the weight for prolong period of time. Coz once it gives way, everything crumples... ur CL650 supporting both tanks?
-
Finally back from the land of ultra long socks + super mini skirts... (nose bleed man)... The past 12 days was fun in japan, but kept wondering how the tank is doing, any fish dying, any flooding problem (the tank is barely 3 months old). Should have installed some web-cam while i was gone. Anyway, like to thank my bro-in-law (simon) and friend/colleague (simon)... for being my tank's caretaker while im gone. All fish and corals in superb condition. Funny thing was, only 12 days, and i can visibly see the growth of all the fish. For the time being, my next project is to catch that Horrible Candy Hog. Anyone has any clue what's the shortest/easiest way to do it without rescaping? (Pm will be nice). wilson

FS: H&S 110-F1000IA - Asking $150
wilsontantw replied to wilsontantw's topic in Sell off/Pasar Malam Shop
Guys, thanks for the sympathy... It's a case of pure ignorance on my end... The seller was selling on behalf of a friend who is leaving overseas. So, i can't 'return' to the seller, coz he's already 'wired' the cash to his friend overseas. His overseas friend also did not respond to emails... Personally, I really don't think the seller is out to con me, coz he stays in a big house... Con me for a few hundred dollars? Hahaha... no need lah... I'm sure his one day pay is more than this liao! I don't blame the seller, coz he was doing his friend a favour (true or not, it doesn't matter)... probably he also kena snook (by his friend)... no names will be mentioned here, but it's just a learning process for me (and anyone who buys things here... ) RESEARCH FIRST!!!!!!!!! Don't be too eager to reserve or rush to buy! Penny wise, pound foolish ah (like me!) Live and Learn! Eh... now i smarter liao ah... dun even try to pull this stunt on me by swopping this H&S during trial period or give me some farney excuse that the skimmer crack/pipe loose hor... Coz i know the skimmer is working perfectly. Bring a NW pump, we can test in my sump if you so wish to. Those who try to stunt me for $150, I will so hunt you down and strip you apart! muahahahaha
