  5. Received quite a few PMs on PBT... I'm selling cheap, becoz i got it cheap from LFS. Note: this is not a FCFS sale, for the reason it's not a getting rid of this fish... but really hope to find a good home for it. I need to rush out for a few hours.. will reply all PMs one by one later when im back. p/s: big/stable tank will be a consideration factor.
  6. Healthy PBT on sale. Eats: Pellet (Dr Basslett), frozen brine shrimp, Nori, algae in tank. Going for only $12. self-collect at bedok reservoir with a pail. (i dun have enuff water, so please dun bring too huge a pail). Buyer adviced to have at least a 3' tank and able to feed him regularly. Reason for sale: too many tangs in a small tank. PBT is still swimming in main tank. Will trap it within the next few days. (earliest collection is this sunday, latest next sunday). Those who wish to adopt also can PM me. (in case no buyer). Pic:

  8. Just realised that you're planning to get an ABT for your new tank... I'm also interested to get one juvenile one. If you happen to see one, can you let me know please? thanks dude... looking forward to see ur tank setup.
  9. NICE NICE NICE! Love the Blues (zoas and mushies). I've got some light blue zoas (about 10 polyps) but unfortunately, not ready for fragging yet... Trying to let them grow more before i start to do exchanging. But if u ever with to sell them, let me know.
  10. sorry for the late reply... been entertaining some friends who pop by my place earlier. I usually go for the chisel method... in fact i just did that earlier this afternoon. I found 1 very interesting zoa (it's a purple colour one) growing around a bunch of yumas. I decided to chisel off part of the LR, so that the zoas doesn't get covered by the yuma. Now trying to wait for it to un-stress... i really hope that it survive... coz the colour of the zoa is really very special. I've not seen it before lah... If you can spare one, let me know...
  11. wow... you got really quite some 'gems'... how long have your tank been running? curious abt ur equipment...
  12. Wow! been waiting for you to show some update to your tank. Found your concept very interesting... looking forward to see some pictures of your tank. Quite power, so many angels... gosh 3'x3'x2.5'! Big tank! Should be very fantastic.
  13. I'm actually not very proud to shout about the algae growth... coz typically, it should take around 7 days to see some decent algae growth. But mine shows within 5 days. I translate this to very high phosphate levels within my tank (which the tests shows so). I guess it does help to use my external overflow, it kinda distributes the water flow very evenly. have you thought of modifying part of a dust-pan to have a more even flow? I'm not sure that will help, but i thought it could solve your problem.
  14. Finally, thought i had given up SPS for good, but today's prices for SPS was just too good to resist. bought a couple of left-over Millies. Top one is purplish with blue 'hairs' and the bottom one is normal green. Dun have a proper digital camera, so can't do any proper macro shots. So that's all for today... Can't make it for Saturday's Prata sale... so gotta wait for the next shipment.
  15. An unwanted supersun. There were a couple of dead polyps, but those that are 'alive' are very 'lively'. Pic is taken 5 mins after introduction to tank also (amazing!) I would believe this is a 10plus head Super Sun!
  16. Went Irwana earlier today to find some leftovers or see if any cheap sales... (actually there are cheap sale!) Can't really say how much cheaper, but its really quite a lot of savings! Today's purchase 4x items. 1) Pretty common by now... cateyes A couple of polyps opened within 5 mins of introduction to the tank.
  17. Another rock with a few very special zoas (need ID as well). Within this rock of maneater zoas, there are some with yellow skirting, area around head is black/dark purple, head is yellow with red spot. At the top of picture, there 2 polyps that are ALL yellow (close to gold colour). The whole zoas is yellow in colour... i call them my 'gold zoas'.
  18. Together with the Orange yuma... came this bunch of unidentified zoas (about 30 polyps of them). Can some zoas specialists ID them?? In case the lighting doesn't bring out the actual colours: the skirting is green, the area surrounding the head is purplishly with some white speckles, head is orange. Seemed like eagle eye - but dun think i'm that 'lucky'. Some ID would be helpful.
  19. Part of my existing mushies corner (some polyps not opening fully, coz i did some shifting earlier). Notice there's a very very rare (yellow-golden) mushroom? Will try to take a proper one under MH tomorrow. Another view of the mushies corner (this mushie corner is still work-in-progress...
  20. Update: 30 Jan 2009. It's almost 1 year since i set up my tank... just wanted a journal to see how far (or how little) i'd done so far. Most of my existing life stock are still with me. Sold my regal tang. Bought a few more tangs (not too wise for a small tank). Most corals are still with me too... except some died during the past 3 months of neglect. Here're some new updates: Some new purchases: Green and Orange Yumas (now opening up big big). Orange about 5 polyps (3 big, 2 small) Green about 10 polyps (5 big, 5 small) Another view:
  21. oh no bro, are you serious?!!?? When was this? how come u didn't mention it?? I almost got conned too... coz this guy i met at some carpark, approach me... but i brushed him off... coz rushing to meet some friends. Actually i already have Bose, so dun need liao. i dun like big speakers lah. Hope you got ur money back... To the rest, this is REAL! I mean REAL SCAM.
  22. u stay in the east (me too), im @ bedok reservoir, next time if i drop by, i'll try to get some for you For Dr Basslett's pellets, actually it's cheaper than formula XX if you compare weight to weight. (trust me, look out for the weight of the bottle vs the price). it is value for money. Like some of the fellow reefers, i mix all different type of food for daily feed. I don't have a regular schedule of what to feed. But for sure, they get pellets + nori seaweed everyday. My seaweed is those from LFS (very EX ah), but i tried finding from NTUC, those are 'flavoured' or 'seasoned'... so can't use in marine. I still can't seemed to find from supermarkets... so i'll stick with LFS type. HTH.
  23. Hi All, i'm looking for DIY T5 Kit to add more light to my 2ft tank. (ballast + waterproof caps + connectors + preferably with wires.) If you have ATI tubes, it'll be great. Kindly PM me if you have. pls indicate price and collection location. Alternatively, i will also consider 4 or 6 or 8 x 24W light set. Kindly indicate brand + period of usage with or without tubes (if yes, what brand are the tubes). thanx much wilson
