i bought a couple from ah peh before CNY, price is ok lah... less than a red note per pc. Not sure if he breed them or imported... but they're surely hardy, coz i didn't even acclimatised them... straight dump into main tank and they survive the shock. hehe. cheers wilson

Hi All, Thanks to kenny and adrianlau for your offer... as one of the fellow reefer (flame-tail) is staying in the east and has a huge 4' blue tub, i figured that'll suffice. I'd collected it from him earlier tonight. Now can officially plan for the rescape. Thread now close and look forward to my new rescape thread... thanks very much. definitely can use it! i'm currently using a 14KK phoenix. so surely no problems. Will change later part of this year. Anyway, dun you use MH anymore? it creates a lot of heat, thus i elevated my light set about 7" above water... now the water is not really cooking. hehe.

My Day 12 update too... (since 22 Jan 2230 hrs)... Realised that the light must hit a big surface area in order to have maximum algae growth. Can already see a good spread of algae where the light is shining on.

My tank is similar as yours. 2.5x2x2 (LxBxH). But due to bad planning of my cabinet, i can only put the wavebox to blow from the back to the front of the tank (which is the 2' panel, and not the recommended 2.5' panel)... just to check, do you hear the water go 'pish' 'pish' when it goes down ur external overflow?? Or do you see the water level move up and down near the overflow teeth? If not, it's not at resonance frequency. (tip: try to tune to as low as possible and set the voltage to 12v. My setting zero at the potentiometer and 14V). Oh, i also have a 6025 running in the same direction as the wavebox. Maybe that's why it works (haven tried without 6025 though). I can even see some mushies 'waving' in the water... quite an experience. Now must get those long tentacles corals... should be very nice. p/s: your ric very nice!!! i like, and i think i saw a deep red/orange sun coral at the background too yeah.

bro, i also got my nano wavebox a few days ago... SUPERB piece of equipment sia... just to check, what's your controller setting? mine's at the lowest setting of the potentiometer (any higher, cannot get the wave effect) and voltage at 14V. I can get a decent swish-swosh, but wanted something more 'tidal'... haha.

hahaha... okie, next time earlier, maybe there'll be others to give away... i received some FOC items from fellow reefers before too... so it's like 'take from src, give to src'... this way, src will prosper ah. if we can, we help... if wanna take advantage, i can only say there's this thing called conscience.
